In an effort to keep everyone informed of activities and events that are happening here in the Agricultural Education and
FFA program, we will be sending this periodic newsletter.

Communications
Thank you all for the great response to our effort to collect email addresses in an effort to improve communications.

National FFA Convention
The Killingly FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team will represent Connecticut at the National FFA Convention
in Indianapolis, IN from October 21-25. The team includes Georgia Williamson, Kelli Lefler, Patrick Hill,
Derek Bleau, Laura Tedford and Robin LaRochelle. Mr. Couture will accompany the team as the coach. Best
of luck to the team!

Pie Sale
The Parents & Alumni Association holds a pie sale each year as a fundraiser. We have been selling New
England Country Bakers pies for several years and they have been very well received. Please see the pie order
form. Enclosed or attached. If you sell to multiple people, please submit one order form and keep copies for
yourself. The order deadline is Friday, November 7th.

Parents & Alumni Association Meeting – October 7th

We want to encourage and invite all parents to become members of the Killingly FFA Parents and Alumni Association.
We can do so much more if we all work together to make student success our mission. The next Parents & Alumni
meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 9th at 7pm at the Ag Center. The agenda will include a decision on bingo
dates, pie sale update, and the SAE loan program.



MARK YOUR CALANDERS
    October 4th - Pasta Dinner Fundraiser for the Robert T. Desjardins Scholarship Fund, Saturday, October 4th,
    sponsored by the East Brooklyn Fire Department and the Killingly FFA Parents & Alumni Association. The
       theme basket raffle will be drawn at 7pm. Dinner will be served from 4-7PM at the East Brooklyn Fire
       Department. Take-outs and walk-ins welcome!

       October 9th – KHS Parent-Teacher Conferences 6-8 pm

       October 11th – Killingly Parks & Recreation Corn Maze at the Ag Ed Land Lab from 12-4 pm.
