                             Summation paper instructions

This paper can be typed or hand-written. No late work will be accepted.

This paper needs to be comprised of three paragraphs:
       1. What was the most interesting information you read in the book? What made
           it so interesting?
       2. Does the material in this book relate to your life? Did the material change
           your perception of history in any way? Make a comparison of a time in
           women’s history or a situation that existed in women’s history compared with
           today.
       3. What role does reading this material play in this course? How does it add or
           detract from the other material and topics in this course?

Your paper will be graded on its demonstration of depth of thought, factual detail (use
quotes to illustrate your points), thoroughness of consideration and understanding of
content and themes. Spelling, punctuation and grammar will also be graded. If you
hand-write this paper, and I cannot read what you have written, then you have not
effectively communicated your thoughts to me, and your grade will reflect such. This
paper is worth 10 points which will be combined with the other points you earned from
doing the reading sheets for the other chapters assigned to you.
