In order to prepare the students for the final chapters in The War Between the Classes, I
will begin class with a discussion about what they have read previously. To get them
motivated to continue reading, I will be using a guided practice tool that involves them
predicting the end of the novel. This guided practice will get students thinking while they
read because they will need to make adjustments and have support with their predictions.
This guided practice will continue into tomorrow’s lesson.
