TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME – YEAR A 17 /18 SEPTEMBER 2011
Over recent months many parishioners have celebrated significant milestones in their lives. Whether it has been a
Silver or a Golden Wedding anniversary. A Silver Jubilee of Ordination to the Priesthood as has been the case for
myself and Fr Andrew more recently (7 September) and who will be with us this weekend. Some have celebrated their
eightieth birthday, for me I have had my sixtieth! Some have celebrated the first birthday of their child’s life. All
opportunities to celebrate and give thanks! I have a little prayer that I use during the day that helps me to try always to
be grateful to Our Heavenly Father………..
I thank you,
that you love me,
and sent your Beloved Son
whose blood saved me.
I thank you,
for all that you have done
I thank you,
that in your Beloved Son
I am also called your beloved.
Make me an instrument of your saving love.
