Lexington Catholic's Middle School Knights played the Frankfort MS Panthers in an away game last week.
Frankfort Game Summary
The Lexington Catholic Middle School Knights put on an offensive showcase and defeated a strong Frankfort team, 54-26. The 8th
grade Knights made their trip to Frankfort this week to meet a strong Panther team. The Knights kicked off to open the game and with
some tenacious defense stopped all three of the Panther's drives limiting Frankfort to 8 total yards of offense in the first quarter. On
offense, Reese Ryan rushed for a 5 yard TD to chalk up the only score of the quarter. The Knights offense then kicked into over drive
with four touchdowns in the second quarter. Jaylen Jones scored on a five-yard run. Ryan connected with Jones on a 39-yard pass for
a score with the 2-point conversion going to Sam Letton. Ryan and Jones connected again on a 7-yard TD pass and finally, with a
razzle-dazzle play; Ryan passed 30 yards to Jordan Hatton for the final score of the half for the Knights. The Panthers were able to
score on a 37-yard pass play and at the end of the half ran back a kick off
for a TD. As the second half opened, the Knights also had some kick off
speed to show the Panthers. Jaylen Jones took the Frankfort kick off 82
yards to score. Seven plays and a 40-yard TD run later, Frankfort
answered once again. Lexington Catholic's offense took the field and
mounted a drive of their own. With runs by Andy Hickey, Braxton Couch,
and Ryan and passes to Hatton and Banks, the Knights responded and with
a 1 yard run, Couch added 6 more points. In the Knights next drive two
good runs by #23, Carter Gray, and Ryan scrambled 4 yards into the end
