                      Day 1 (Monday)
                       Welcome to Paris; settle into your hotel, the Hotel de la Place du Louvre (www.paris-hotel-place-
                       du-louvre.com). Join me at 6 p.m. for an orientation welcome dinner. (D)

                      Day 2 (Tuesday)
                       After breakfast we will meet at 9am for a 3 hour gourmet walking tour of
                       the Left Bank. Our expert guide will provide an overview of French culinary
                       habits and introduce us to selected specialty shops, some of the most
                       famous in France. Tour includes tastings of chocolate, bread, cheese,
                       wine, foie gras, as well as a few surprises along the way. The balance of
                       the day is yours to explore the wonderful city of Paris on your own. (B)

                      Day 3 (Wednesday)
                       Today we meet at noon for a Cheese and Wine Luncheon class. This class
                       is a fun and informative way to expand our culinary knowledge of food
                       pairing. Later that afternoon we will tour the world’s most famous art
                       museum, the Louvre. You are on your own to explore the museum at
                       your leisure and the balance of the day is yours. (B, L)

                      Day 4 (Thursday)
                       On this day we will head to the world famous Culinary Arts Institute, Le Cordon Bleu for a very
                       special demonstration class on how some of the specialty dishes of France are prepared. Upon the
                       completion of the demonstration, we will get the pleasure of enjoying what the chef prepared as our
                       lunch. After class you are on your own to spend your last evening in Paris as you wish. There is an
                       optional champagne tasting river cruise on the Seine at sunset available. (B, L)
Day 5 (Friday)
 After breakfast we will travel by train to the Burgundy region of France. After checking into our hotel, the Hotel de luxe le Cep
 (www.hotel-cep-beaune.com), we will have a regional dinner prepared especially for us. The menu sampling includes the local
 well-known dishes of Boeuf Bourguignon, Coq au Vin and Escargot, all expertly paired with the local Burgundy wines. (B,D)


Day 6 (Saturday)
 Today we will begin our day by touring the local mustard mill, where we will discover the traditional method of how mustard
 seed becomes the well known Dijon Mustard condiment. Our tasting of France continues as we sample the various mustards and
 vinegars produced from this region. The balance of the day you are on your own to explore the quaint city of Beaune as you wish.
 Optional winery visits can be arranged. (B)


Day 7 (Sunday)
 After breakfast we travel by train to the city of Avignon. After checking into our award winning hotel, the Hotel d’Europe
 (www.heurope.com), the balance of the day is yours to begin your exploration of this historical city. (B)


Day 8 (Monday)
 This morning we will be introduced to the hotel chef, Chef Bruno d’Angelis. We will accompany him to the local market and participate
 in a cooking class where we will learn his secrets in preparing a traditional Provencal meal. After lunch, you are once again on your
 own to continue your exploration of the city of Avignon. An optional dinner cruise on the Rhone River is available. (B,L)


Day 9 (Tuesday)
 Today we drive outside of Avignon and explore some of the Provence region. In the morning we visit the historical city of
 Aix-en-Provence. We lunch at a restaurant that has earned its Michelin star, sampling some of the regions best seasonal offerings.
 After lunch we visit a local olive grove and take a private tour of the local mill to learn about the many different varieties of olives,
 as well as how olives are graded and then pressed in oil. This producer is also famous for their organic specialty honey and we will
 learn about honey collection and production. Our tasting of France continues as we sample the olive oils and specialty honeys of this
 local region. Upon our return to Avignon, the evening is yours. (B,L)
Day 10 (Wednesday)
Today we explore further the region of Provence. We will begin with a visit to the impressive Pont du
Gard, a 2000 year old Roman aqua duct made without mortar which is in the heart of the Rhone River
Valley area known for its Rose wines. We then will head to the famous Chateauneuf-du-Pape winery to
visit the 2000 year old vineyard and sample the most famous wine of France; lunch is included. Before
heading back to Avignon we will stop for chocolate tasting; a sweet ending to our food tasting journey of
France. The balance of the day is yours to enjoy your last evening in Avignon. (B,L)


Day 11 (Thursday)
 After breakfast we say our goodbyes with a new appreciation for the French art of good eating.
