• With the exceptions of the Public
Service Advertising, Advertising for the
Arts, and Advertising Industry Self
Promotion categories, work entered must
have been the result of paid creative
services and media placement in the
normal course of business (excluding
student entries).

poster, as shown.

BACK of EACH PIECE OF YOUR
ENTRY, as shown.

ENVELOPE AND CALL

Entries Mixer, please
contact the ADDY Chair
to obtain them before
entering.

If your items will not fit in the

Place TWO (2) copies of
the entry forms face up,
in front of the printed
side of the call for
entries poster, as shown.


Include TWO (2) copies
of each piece and place
in front of the back side
of the poster with the
front side of the piece
facing out, as shown.
                            No information identifying the entrant
                            should appear on the face of the entry.

entry number tab on the FRONT,
RIGHT corner, as shown.


WRITE the entry number on the
CD/DVD, as shown –
DO NOT use a sticky label.


CDs/DVDs MUST be playable in a
consumer CD/DVD player. If not,
your entry will be disqualified.

Follow all label and submission procedures

Select an appropriate sized box/tube/envelope to
hold the entry pieces

NOTE: Use a different form of packaging ONLY IF

   For outdoor and trade-show exhibits,
please supply an 8x10 photo of your entry.
                 THINGS TO REMEMBER
•   Do not send original or irreplaceable artwork.
    It will NOT be returned.

•   Each Elements of Advertising entry must include a sample,
    showing how the element was actually used.

•   Audio CD’s only, No Cassettes.

•   Television & Video – Consumer playable DVD Only, NO files.

•   Do not put sticky labels on the CDs & DVDs.

•   Use a CD/DVD safe pen to write entry numbers on disc.

                                        CHECK LIST

 YOUR ENTRIES IN THE ORDER THEY APPEAR ON THE MANIFEST
   o In a separate letter-sized envelope labeled :
      “[COMPANY NAME]”

        Your signed MANIFEST
        Payment – check, credit card (MC, Visa, AMEX only)
#10 Enter broadcast video entries on a VHS,BETA, DV or ANY
other tape format…or even worse audio entries on a cassette.

#9 Leave slates on your broadcast entries OR have any
identifying info on the front of the entry.

#8 Affix ANY sort of sticky label on a broadcast/interactive disc

#7 Cover up a typo on your piece with White-Out and hope
the judges don’t notice.

#6 Enter a website with a bad URL.
#5 Mount your entries on illustration board.

#4 Submit irreplaceable original artwork and expect to have it
returned.

#3 Complain to the ADDY chair that your name is misspelled
on the awards only to be reminded that YOU were the one
who typed them in.

#2 Show up on Deadline Day without your manifest or
payment.

#1 Show up on Deadline Day with entries in hand and say
“How do I do this”? … 
