									                           Membership Information and Application

Membership in the North Dakota Association of School Psychologists (NASP) allows school
psychologists within the state to facilitate and maintain professional relationships with others.
Members have access to the latest information regarding state conferences, legislative initiatives
that impact the profession at the state level, an opportunity to network and exchange ideas and
strategies, and the opportunity to develop professional leadership skills.

NDASP has four membership categories. Individuals holding regular, regular retired, lifetime,
and student membership are entitled to vote and hold office, while associate members are not.

Regular Membership in NDASP is open to any person who meets one or more of the following
criteria: 1) holds a state and/or national certification as a School Psychologist; 2) Is actively
engaged in the practice of school psychology; 3) is trained in the field of psychology and
functioning as a supervisor or consultant for school psychologists; 4) is primarily engaged in
providing college or university training for school psychologists; or 5) is retired from the practice
of school psychology.

Lifetime Membership is open to individuals who have reached the age of 65, and who have
been regular NDASP members for at least five years. The membership dues for lifetime
members are waved.

Student Membership is open to any individual who is currently enrolled in a graduate-level
training program for school psychologists. In order to qualify for student membership, the
student must be enrolled a minimum of 6 hours per semester.

Associate Membership is available to individuals, agencies, or entities engaging in a closely
related field of education or mental health, and who are not otherwise eligible for regular
membership in NDASP. Associate members may not hold office or vote.
