OPTIMIST NEWS & HI-
Well, my final board meeting as President of the
Hopewell Optimist Club was last night. There was a
little confusion about that since we have recently
gone to the last Tuesday of the month for board
meetings but alas it is so. What a quick year it has
been and I want all of you Optimists and Opti-Mrs to
know how much I appreciate everything you have
done to make our year a success. We voted in a new member last
night, Craig Pershing, and we are now at 90 members which gives us a
plus 1 for the year. I still have 3 regular meetings and the Installation
Banquet so I will be in "power" a little longer. Last night we discussed
the Bar B Q which will be coming up at the end of October and the upcoming
Golf Tournament. Please make plans to come to the Installation
Banquet on Sept 27TH to bring President Elect Gibbs into office in a
rousing fashion. He's a good man but after all, he is from Hopewell so
he is gonna need all the help he can get so come on out and show your
support. Thank you all for allowing me to be your president for 2007-
2008. It has been an honor and a privilege to represent the GREATEST
club in Hopewell. God bless you all.
