2. Caritas and Catholic Mission East Africa Crisis Appeals: Please promote
these important appeals to your parishioners. See details in the ‘Something to
Think About’ section.

3. The New Missal: Please note that the link to the section of our diocesan
website devoted to the introduction of the New Missal has moved to the ‘Quick
Links’ section of the home page – www.mn.catholic.org.au. The details of a new
resource for small groups has just been added to this page.

4. Sr Ann Condon, O.P: Sr Ann Condon is grateful to all who prayed for her
during her recent illness. She is now back home at ‘Dominic Court’, recuperating
well after months of hospital care. Her recovery has indeed been a miracle, due
to many prayers of intercession and wonderful care by specialists and nurses.

5. Request from Bill Holley: Mr Bill Holley from Mayfield is trying to confirm the
full name of a Miss Donnelly who was housekeeper for Fr Bernie Kennedy at
West Wallsend in about 1962-63. Miss Donnelly was an Arts graduate from the
University of Sydney and had studied German under the renowned Australian
poet, Christopher Brennan. Mr Holley has found references in the University of
Sydney Alumni to a Dorethea Gertrude Donnelly who was a student between
1920-1925. If anyone can help with this request please contact Jo Isaac on 4979
1156 or email joanne.isaac@mn.catholic.org.au.

6. Request from Susan Kellett: My name is Susan Kellett and I am a doctoral
student at The University of Queensland. I am requesting the assistance of
Parishioners and Clergy in locating stained glass windows that depict nurses in
Australian public buildings, such as churches, as part of my research examining
the commemoration and memorialisation of nurses. If you are aware of any
window that (a) contains an image of a nurse – such as Florence Nightingale,
Service nurses from the wars or other nurses, or (b) memorialises a nurse/s – I
would love to hear from you. Please contact me with the name and location of
the church or building the window is located in by one of the following
means:
Email: susan.kellett@uqconnect.edu.au
Phone: 07 3346 5269 (please leave a message if no answer)
Post: Susan Kellett, School of Nursing and Midwifery, Edith Cavell Building, The
University of Queensland - Herston Campus, Herston, Queensland, 4029.
I very much appreciate your help.
