At McKesson HVS, we are committed to helping you succeed The following actions are a minimum set of functions that will provide a
Standard Preventative Maintenance Procedure. A Maintenance Log should be prepared showing the tasks and their associated intervals.
The person responsible for these tasks should sign-off each task as it is completed. Please feel free to print this check list or save it to your
computer and modify to reflect your specific site’s maintenance schedule and needs.

              Clean up any dust or debris on the
              conveyors or workstations
              Dust/clean photoeyes/reflective tape.
              Ensure light beam is on-target and tape
              surface is damage-free
              Check chute alignments are straight & fitted
              Clean Barcode Scanners
              Check air pressure on the diverts to ensure
              that the puck divert is smooth
              Check count accuracy on all Plus Module cells

        Shipping/Packing                                                                              Owner:
              Clean up any dust or debris on the
              conveyors or workstations.
              Dust/clean photoeyes/reflective tape.
              Ensure light beam is on-target and tape
              surface is damage-free
              Clean Barcode Scanners

        Semi-Automated/Manual Count Areas                                                             Owner:
              Clean up any dust or debris on the
              conveyors or workstations.
              Dust/clean photoeyes/reflective tape.
              Ensure light beam is on-target and tape
              surface is damage-free
              Clean all Cassette (Baker) Counter discharge
              tubes check that they are properly seated
              Clean Barcode Scanners

        Vial Labeler                                                                                  Owner:
              Clean up any dust or debris on the conveyors
              or workstations.
              Dust/clean photoeyes/reflective tape. Ensure
              light beam is on-target and tape surface is
              damage-free
              Place a drop of oil on the Bottle/Vial Label
              Applicator ram guide shaft and the ram head
              spring return shaft
              Check timing belt on applicator for tightness

General Maintenance                                                           Owner:
   Clean up any dust or debris on the conveyors
   or workstations.
   Inspect system and ensure that there are no
   strange noises or leaks, and that all devices
   are functioning properly
   Check air pressure settings on all pneumatic
   lines
   Observe the operation of all pneumatic
   devices to see that they are operating
   smoothly
   Check the operation of limit switches on
   diverters
   Drain water from compressed air lines.
   Dust/clean photoeyes/reflective tape. Ensure
   light beam is on-target and tape surface is
   damage-free
   As needed, clean print heads on all thermal
   transfer printers (preferably after every other
   roll)
   Check diverters for loose plows and lubricate
   with LPS Magnum lubricant ONLY (link to
   spare part ordering)
   Check the tracking of all conveyor belts.
   Clean table top chain conveyor and lubricate
   drive chains – check catenary tension is
   appropriate
   Clean Barcode Scanners (PV stations, etc)
   Clean any air filters
   Power Off all printers, servers and PCs
   Clean totes and pucks. Check RF tag
   mounting.
   Check tightness on the Drive/Bottle Guide
   Belts on the Capper
   Check Conveyor chain drives and belt drives
   for wear, tension and alignment
   Check motor and reducer temperature (BRIAN
   – what should the temp be?????)
   Check for loose mounting bolts
   Lubricate universal joints in the curves of the
   roller conveyor
   Clean Capper hopper
   Vacuum printers and clean computer exhaust
   fans (we suggest using compressed air for
   cleaning)
   Check E-Stop operation
   Check oil in gear reducers
   Remove table top chain and clean inside
   guides and underside of chain
   Check/tighten connections in power and
   control panels.
   Baker Cells
   Baker Cassette Counters and Universal Counters
   Bottle/Vial Feeder
   Bottle/Vial Label Applicator
   Printers
   Capper
   A-Frame
   Conveyors
   Auto Packing Machinery
