Australian Dirt Bike Adventures, hereinafter called the Promoter will conduct the Steel Horse Interclub
Commercial Natural Terrain Motocross for Senior riders in Open, Lites and Veterans classes and Junior
riders in Junior Lites and Mini-Lite classes.
2.1. The above mentioned meetings have been authorised by Motorcycling Queensland (MQ) who has
issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number as above and are open to holders of current
Motorcycling Australia National, Club, Nipper/Mini and One Meeting Licences (OML only junior riders
that have a current JCP Log Book) who are full financial members of the participating clubs; Albert
Districts MCC, Gold Coast MXC, Moreton Districts MXC & Toowoomba MXC.
2.2. The meeting will be held in accordance with the current Manual of Motorcycle Sport General
Competition Rules (GCR’s), these Supplementary Regulations, and any Final Instructions approved by

3.1 Entries open forthwith and close last mail Wednesday 18th May 2010.
3.2 In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be
retained by the Promoter, if such retention is approved by Motorcycling Queensland.
3.3 Only entries received on the Official Entry Form that is accompanied by the correct fee will be
accepted. (No phone, fax, e-mail or in person entries accepted)
3.4 NOTE: 1. LATE ENTRIES (THOSE RECEIVED AFTER THE WEDNESDAY 11 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT

4.1. National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability.
4.2. Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for licensees.
4.3 IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT
WEEKLY BENEFITS INSURANCE.
5. MEDICAL SERVICES:
QAS and other qualified First Aid personnel will be in attendance at each race meeting, from the start of
practice until fifteen minutes after the last race.
6. ENTRY FEE:

6.2 The entry fee includes a $5.00/rider Flag Marshal levy.
6.3 Payment, Cheque or Money Order only (Do Not Send Cash).

7. ENTRY PASSES:
Each competitor will receive one admit two pass for Rider and one other. EXTRA PASSES WILL NOT
BE SOLD WITH ENTRIES. Admission prices at the club/promoters discretion.

3. Senior Open – Clubman (165cc to 500cc 2/ & 255cc to 663 4/) 3 x 9 minutes

5. Veterans (35 to 44) and (45+) – Unlimited 3 x 9 minutes
6. Mini Lites (85cc 2 stroke/150cc 4 stroke) – 12 to U16 yrs (SW & BW) 3 x 9minutes
7. Junior 150cc 2 Stroke – 13 to U16 yrs (100cc - 150cc 2/-) 3 x 9 minutes
8. Junior 250cc 4 Stroke Graded – 13 to U16 yrs (200cc to 250cc 4/-) 3 x 9 minutes

9. AWARDS AND PRIZEMONEY:

10. ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS:
10.1 To constitute a Class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each Class shall be (10).
10.2 Should there be insufficient entries in any Class of Competition, the decision to run or cancel the Class,
or to combine events and re-distribute any awards and/or prize money, will be at the discretion of the
Promoter, subject to Motorcycling Queensland approval.
11. MACHINES AND RIDERS:
11.1 All machines entered must comply with the current GCR’s for Motocross Competition.
11.2 Multiple entry of the one Machine in the same Class of Competition is not permitted.
11.3 Change of machine maybe permitted if submitted in writing to the Clerk of Course and with the
approval of the MQ Steward at least ten (10) minutes prior to the start of the event in which the
substitution is requested. Substitute machine must have past machine examination, be eligible for the
class and replace a machine that cannot be reasonably repaired.
12. RIDING NUMBERS:
12.1 Wherever possible, competitors will be allocated their Registered MX Riding Number, but the promoter
does have the right to allocate numbers at their discretion. MQ by-laws apply to Inter-state entries and
these competitors may be requested to change their Registered Riding Number to comply.
12.2 All number plates on all Machines MUST comply with the GCR’s.
12.3 Number plate colours will be as per GCR 188.8.131.52 age group colours for Junior competitors and GCR’s
or all other competitors.
12.4 Back Numbers: Are compulsory for all Junior and Senior competitors. These numbers must be legible
in contrasting colours corresponding to machine number. Back numbers that correspond to the
machine must be shown at machinery.
13. GRID POSITIONS:
Positions for races will be by ballot for the first race of the day. Race 2 & 3 will be by finishing order of
previous race with the exception of heat races which will be by ballot in all races.
14. RIDERS BRIEFING:
A Riders Briefing will be held prior to the commencement of racing and ALL Competitors MUST attend
the Riders Briefing. Riders Briefing is a NON Smoking Area.
15. DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING:
15.1 All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing
may take place at any competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as
implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency.
15.2 If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors telephone the Drugs in
Sport Hotline 1800 020506. When drug testing takes place, the payment of prizemoney or awards may
be delayed at the Promoter’s discretion until the results of the tests are known.
16. CODE OF CONDUCT:
All Competitors, Officials and Parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia By-Law - CODE OF
CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCR’s) which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all Motorcycle
Race Meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and will be enforced.
17. TIMETABLE: Unless notified in final instructions the timetable for Saturday and Sunday will be as

Riders Briefing: 8.30am
Racing: Starts immediately after the conclusion of practice. 10.00am
For the purposes of drug & alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be the
starting time of scrutineering with the completion of the meeting for the participant being 30 minutes at
completion of last race.
18. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION: Natural Terrain
All starts will be self-penalizing gates. A two-minute board will be displayed and competitors must be
ready to start after the two minutes as per GCR’s. After this time a 15/5 second signal will be used with
the gate dropping a minimum of 5 seconds after the 5 seconds board is displayed. Starts may not be
delayed after the two minutes has expired. All rounds have 40 gates. All people other than officials and
riders of that event must vacate at the direction of the starter or 2 minutes board.
There will be 4 laps of practice offered per class on the day. Race format will be as per paragraph
eight. Practice is limited to 125% of the grid per group (50 bikes). Some classes can be combined
provided the GCR’s s and the maximum number is not breached.
21. NOISE: As per GCR’s 12.10 – 96db (A) for 2/- and 94db(A) for 4/- machines
The Goods and Services Tax affects the payment of Prize money. If you do not provide an ABN or
declare the sport a hobby, the Promoter must withhold 48% of prize money over $50-00, which is
otherwise payable to you.
23. SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS:
23.1 Please note that depending on entries the Junior 150cc/2- and 250cc/4- classes may be run together
but scored separately.
23.2 If a riders parent / legal guardian are not attending the meeting with the rider the correct “Guardianship
Form”, which can be obtained of the MQ website, must be sent with the rider and presented at sign on
to the Steward.
24 Transponders Electronic Timing will be used for this series. It is compulsory to use the Transponders
provided by Sunstate Timing Services.
(a) Transponders are the riders responsibility for each round hired, any loss or damage will be

Monday following the meeting or posted (post marked) on that Monday. Transponders returned
after the Monday will be charged at $20p/day for every day they are late.
(d) Transponders must be picked up and returned to the designated person/s. A competitors MA
licence will be held by this person/s and returned in exchange for transponder MA have agreed
they will not re-issue or renew any licences of anyone until the transponder is returned and/or all
outstanding fees are paid. MQ will also enforce payment of any costs or fees.
(e) For transponders not returned on the same day, or not returned to the designated person/s, in
addition to the late return fee. The hirer is responsible for the transponder until it arrives back at
the designated place (Sunstate Timing Services, P O Box 6, Morayfield 4506). This includes while
in transit with Australia Post and by courier. No excuse will be entertained for non delivery. It is
recommended transponders be hand delivered. If returning by courier or hand delivery, please
ring first for any address.
(f) Transponders must be fitted for all practice sessions
