Bill of Rights WebQuest
Pleasantville High School
October 28, 2010
The Bill of Rights, or the first 10 amendments to the Constitution, outlines the
rights which we are guaranteed. We can’t call ourselves “true Americans” if we
do not understand our rights as citizens. In addition to granting us rights and
privileges, it also limits the power of our Federal government – remember, a large
group of Antifederalists feared the new government would become a British
monarchy! Look how far we have come!
In this activity, we will be exploring different websites to learn about the Bill of
Each student will be assigned 2 amendments.
For each amendment, students will create a poster using this template.
The poster MUST include the full text of the amendment, why it was
originally agreed upon and how it is still important today.
