					                         AGREEMENT OF CO-OPERATION
                                            between
          CHERKASY STATE TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY, UKRAINE
                                              and
     SLOVAK UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY IN BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA


With the aim to develop bilateral co-operation in the field of education, science, technology
and culture, the Cherkasy State Technological University, represented by its rector - Prof.
Jurij Grigorovitch Lega, with legal address at 460, Shevchenko blvd, Cherkasy, UA-18006,
Ukraine and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, represented by its Rector -
Prof. Vladimir Bales, DrSc., with legal address at Vazovova 5, 812 43 Bratislava, Slovak
Republic conclude this Agreement of Co-operation as follows:

                                           Article 1
Where applicable, the Parties are willing to exchange information on practical experiences,
update technologies and up-to-date methods and methodologies, university courses and
contents for training of high-qualified graduates.
                                           Article 2
The Parties will effect reciprocal exchange of scientific publications, didactic and
methodological materials, curricula, study programmes, bibliographical and information
materials, prospectuses and other advertisements, popularising partner's achievements.
                                           Article 3
The Parties are willing to realise joint research projects of common interest. Each project of
common interest will be described in an ADDENDUM to this Agreement. The addendum will
include the terms and conditions for exchanges, each party's responsibilities and the
academic, scientific, administrative and financial details for its implementation.
                                           Article 4
The Parties will invite the partner university representatives to participate at seminars,
workshops, conferences, symposia and meetings of specific interest as well as to jubilee
celebrations and celebrations of famous Slovak and Ukraine scientists.
                                           Article 5
The parties are willing to exchange:
   – academic, pedagogical and administrative staff for lectures, consultations and methodical
       works,
   – PhD students to work on doctoral works,
   – students with the purpose to study, to realise practice and excursions,
   – graduate trainees and junior scientists for studies, special training and special field in-
       depth studies.
                                           Article 6
The Parties are willing jointly to work out monographs, manuals, textbooks, and scientific
articles and thematic collected volumes.
The Parties are willing to write reviews of the above mentioned works. The Parties will accept
scientific and methodological articles for publication in collected volumes.
                                            Article 7
The Parties are willing to delegate two professors from each university to editorial board of
their regular collected volumes. The parties are willing to invite the partner university
professors to participate in the specialised councils for PhD. theses awarding as council's
invited members.
                                            Article 8
Each project or activity agreed in Addendum to this Agreement will be funded individually,
according to the resources available. The resources needed to implement such projects or
activities will be negotiated with suitable funding agencies by the project co-ordinators,
supported by both universities. Likewise and depending on resources available, the parties
will develop activities funded with their own financial resources.
The support with visas and accommodation will be made by the Bratislava Innovation Centre of
Technology, Reengineering and Business, Ltd, with legal seat at Ivanska cesta 23, 823 57
Bratislava on one hand and the International Institute for Mathematical Physics, Astrophysics and
Nuclear Investigations on the other hand, upon mutual agreement of both parties.
                                            Article 9
The signature of this Agreement does not limit the opportunities for further co-operative
activities. Each activity of common interest will be described in an ADDENDUM to this
Agreement. The addendum will include the terms and conditions for exchanges, each party's
responsibilities and the academic, scientific, administrative and financial details for its
implementation.
                                           Article 10
This Agreement will become effective on the date of its signing by both university
representatives.
This Agreement is valid for a period of five (5) years, and will automatically be renewed for
additional 5-year period, unless one of the contracting parties notifies the other in writing its
intent to terminate at least three (3) months in advance of termination date.
                                           Article 11
The parties have agreed with English language version of this Agreement, which is
accordingly made and signed in two originals in the English language. Both copies are
certified true and of the same legal power.
