TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR ECO ECONMIC JOURNAL
Recognizing the importance of highlighting the issues of greater economic
cooperation in the ECO region, the 18th RPC Meeting noted the need to promote high
quality scientific research papers on issues of region’s economic and social
development and to facilitate dissemination and sharing of research and analysis in
the region. With this view it was decided to issue the scientific journal entitled “ECO
Economic Journal”. To implement this recommendation, the following Terms of
Reference for the ECO Economic Journal are being suggested:
1. The Editorial Board of the ECO Economic Journal shall consist of 10
Members from ECO Member States;
2. The Editorial Board will elect the Chairperson who will act on behalf
of the Editorial Board and make decisions on all issues pertaining to issuance of the
ECO Economic Journal. The Chairperson will initiate the adoption of the Calendar of
the Publication, which shall reflect time schedules and content of every issue during
the planned year.
3. The Editorial Board shall elect two Deputy Chairpersons, one
responsible for research and the other for analysis, who will facilitate compilation of
publication data for ach issue of the ECO Economic Journal.
4. The ECO Economic Journal shall be issued on a quarterly basis. The
ECO Secretariat will publish the quarterlies based on the publication data provided by
Deputy Chairpersons.
5. The Editorial Board will convene no less than once a year to evaluate
the work of the Board and adopt the Calendar of Publication for the next consecutive
year. The meeting of the Editorial Board will be held in Member States.
