I am currently pursuing degrees in both Biology and Sociology at Boston College as well as a
minor in Women’s Studies. I am fascinated by the intersection of sociology and biology and
where gender lies along that divide. In that vein, I would like to pursue socio-biology or social
theory surrounding how genetics interact with the social setting. I am also interested in
epidemics and diseases as they affect women, such as in the AIDS epidemic. In sociology and
biology, my interest is female sexuality and I hope to pursue a career researching and writing
about the subject. Following college, I hope to move back to Seattle and begin work in the
science/sociology fields.
