Dual-Wheel Tile Cutter
PLEASE NOTE: Instructor will provide all materials needed for a $15 materials fee, or you may purchase all materials on your own. Materials fees will be collected during the first class session and may be paid by cash or check payable to Juanita Canzoneri. Need by 1st session (all are included in the materials fee): • • Vitreous glass tile—available locally at Full Spectrum, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and Meiningers, or online at various sources Dual Wheel Tile Cutter or Tile Nipper: either tool will do, however the cutter may be easier to use than the nipper when you’re starting out. The cutter (see above) is available at Full Spectrum, Royalty Art Glass, or Meiningers. The nipper (also called offset tile nipper) can be purchased at Full Spectrum, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or hardware stores selling ceramic tile. Wooden base approx. 4" square of ¼" hardboard from Home Depot or Lowe’s. This will need to be cut down from a larger piece of hardboard. Glues: choose the glue that says it works with your mosaic materials—you’ll need to read the labels. Your choices are: Craft Glues: most are available at craft stores Crafter’s Pick, Tacky Glue, or any other thick water-soluble glue Safety glasses (optional) Cost Estimate $3-8
