                                              FACT SHEET
Kirkland Uncorked is a regional showcase of art, food and wine of the picturesque shores of Lake Washington in
Kirkland, WA taking place July 20-22, 2012 at Marina Park (25 Lakeshore Plaza, Kirkland, WA 98033). Benefiting the
Hope Heart Institute, Kirkland Uncorked features artist booths, a boat show and dog modeling contest in the Promenade
and Tasting Garden with grilling demonstrations, wine tasting and live music.

Tasting Garden: Friday, July 20th, 5pm-10pm             Promenade:       Friday, July 20th, 2pm-8pm
                Saturday, July 21st, 1pm-10pm                            Saturday, July 21st, 11am-8pm
                Sunday, July 22nd, 1pm-6pm                               Sunday, July 22nd, 11am-6pm

Admission to the Tasting Garden:
 $25 in advance
 $30 at the gate
 $15 non-tasting admission
Admission includes a commemorative glass and 10 tasting tokens. Wine is 1-2 tasting tokens depending on price of wine.
Additional tasting tokens are sold for $2.00.

Kirkland Uncorked Tasting Garden: 21+, admission required
 Wine Tasting: Sample over 50 Washington wines from 20+ local wineries in the beautiful ambiance of Marina Park.
   Guests who find a wine they like can purchase a bottle at special event prices at the Kirkland Uncorked Wine Shop.
 Grilling Demonstrations: Demonstrations from regional chefs showcasing summer’s favorite recipes take place on
   the Marina Park Beach.
 Grill-Off: Saturday at 5:00pm the anticipated grill-off features western Washington top chefs in an all out battle for
   grilling glory.
 Restaurant Sampling: Throughout the weekend, Kirkland-area restaurants sample tastes of their signature dishes.
 Entertainment: The Northwest's favorite bands play inside the Tasting Garden to complement your tasting

Kirkland Uncorked Promenade: Free for all ages
 Artist Lane: Curated by the Kirkland Arts Center, Artist Lane is alive with art from local, regional and nationally
   recognized artists in all mediums.
 Arts for All Experience: Kirkland’s arts and culture organizations collaborate to bring guests clay throwing
   demonstrations, drawing activities and kids' art.
 Boat Show: Kirkland Uncorked showcases some of the hottest boats on the market. Boats will be located at the
   marina and are open for public tours.
 Cover Dog Contest: CityDog Magazine hosts the annual Cover Dog Model Contest on Sunday at noon. All dogs are
   welcome to enter.
 Bike Valet: Pedal your bicycle down to the festival and park your two-wheeled ride in the Kirkland Uncorked Bike

The Hope Heart Institute has a 50-year history of revolutionary medical advances and educational curriculums that
make heart disease—America’s No. 1 cause of death—more treatable, beatable and preventable. A portion of all
admission fees collected in the Tasting Garden will directly fund local research and education to fight heart disease.
