CONCESSION BUILDING UPDATE

Yes we will have working bathrooms in 2012! Both the plumber and electrician started
their work in December. This fall also saw the rest of the perimeter concrete poured and
bollards around the transformer installed. We will complete the project in the early
spring and hope to be open by opening day. We will have a punch list of miscellaneous
items to complete and need to get Town of Greece approval.

Needed – COMMERCIAL FREEZER – give us a call if you know of anyone that
would be willing to donate one to our league.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES

As we send this newsletter we are in the beginning stages of manager selections.
Player drafts for the older divisions will follow. We are still accepting players so if you
have any friends or acquaintances please have them go on line or contact the league.

RAFFLE FUNDRAISER

Our 2011 raffle fundraiser was very successful and has enabled us to complete the
concession building except for some punch list items. We will conduct another raffle in
2012 with hopes of making field improvements at the complex. We are looking for a
few raffle items for prizes and request your assistance in obtaining items. Please
contact Mike Piperni, Anne Edwards or Gene Noga if you have an item or service to
donate.

YOUTH SPORTS NEW YORK AND FIRST AID TRAINING

Our league will once again offer training for managers, coaches and volunteers to
provide tools for suggestions on running successful training, games, how to deal with
parents and other items. Included this year will be items on child protection standards
and practices. A second popular first aid clinic will also be scheduled. More information
on dates and program content will follow. Our board strongly suggests attendance to get
coach certification.

SOCIAL MEDIA

During 2012, Greece Little League will be expanding its use of facebook and twitter as a
means of communicating with league families. If you get an invitation please join in to
keep up to date on what is happening around the league.

FUTURE PROGRAM OFFERINGS

District 4 (Monroe County LL teams along with Victor) are discussing obtaining approval
for a travel program with some opportunities in 2012 for certain age groups. Games will
be played against other LL towns for a limited number of teams per age group. The
players must be signed up for regular season “house” leagues to participate. For the
2012 season we are committed to have a 9-10 travel team with games scheduled on
weekends. Tryouts will be held in mid-February at TSE. Details including cost (less
than regular season) will follow, so check our Website or announcements. We are
excited about this additional option. 11-12 year old travel team(s) will play on 50-70 field
instead of 46-60 in 2013.
