          The main objective of this article is to promote a reflection about some descriptive results we
      have obtained in a research based on the presence of volunteer personnel in Hospitals of
      Navarra. The study is integrated in a wider research project that pretends analyse the current
      situation of the volunteers in hospitals of Spain. Dr. Jenni Moix i Queralto directed the research.
      In the process of analyzing the data, spanish universities and volunteer associations have taken
      part. We are conscious about the controversies the topic provokes, but we assume that
      volunteer personnel and professionals need to colaborate in hospitals and other medical centers.
      Because of this, the purpose of the present article follows to exhibit the situation of volunteers in
      hospitals of Navarra, which is the nearest and better known environment to us. At least, with this
      article we want to suggest some directions that could be helpful to make a professional-volunteer
      coordination possible.
