The 10th Hong Kong Wushu International Championship
Introduction of “Gratitude Cup”
In 2012, we are glad to announce that “The 10th Hong Kong Wushu International Championship” will
be held in February 24-28 of 2012. In championship “Wushu Virtual Cup”(9th Hong Kong Wushu
International Championship), we are proud to say that we received nearly 8,000 participants support from
various organization such as wushu team captains, wushu coaches, and the civil service from Hong Kong and
China. We have confident to say that we have 9 years of experience in holding wushu international
championship, therefore, we will keep optimizes the process of championship in order to let all competitor
can finished their game within 1.5 days as we received many feedback about they feel a wastes about
staying in the venue for 3 days.
For the Grading System (DUN SYSTEM) of Chinese Wushu examination, it has three people pass the
high level of dun exam (7-8 level) in oversea session; we believe the DUN system will become more
population and standardization in the next decade.
In the coming championship, we will increased to 100M HKD for the prize and gift for competitors,
that’s not all, it has 10 events during the championship.

Ten Activities
1. International standard Level Tulo(routine) elite championships
In order to increase the average level of competitor, we provide Tulo(routine) elite championships, we
hope that it will have a TOP standard competitor in this champions, we only accept national team to
apply. this championship will provide the unique venue with International referee and international
Carpet in (14M x 8M)
2. Election for “Equity judge for referees”
In order to make the competition without bias, each referee section can vote their fairest referees after
the contest. Each prize-winner will be award trophy and certificate. On the other hand, “Bias of
Referee” can be voted by everyone who apply the championship, for those who voted referees, we will
black list them and reject to be our referee forever
3. Tenth anniversary of Hong Kong Wushu International Championship
The relative representatives will be invited to join the activities of “Traditional Wushu Contest” and can
receive awards at the scene. Besides, we will invite world wushu celebrities; the competition winners
take part in the joint performance of celebrities, we will also create DVD under the show
4. To choose the best coaches
According to competition results and scores of all previous Hong Kong wushu international
championship the team themselves, the organizing committee will discuss and select the best team
5. Speech competition in “I LOVE WUSHU” and Master Workshops
The speech competition provide for primary school kid for apply in topic “I LOVE WUSHU”. Master
Workshops will invite some HEAD MASTER of the Wushu Taolu for demonstration.
6. Grading System (DUN SYSTEM) of Chinese Wushu Examination
Continue last two dan grading examinations with Chinese wushu association, this time grade 1-3 will be
identified by competition result; grade 4-6 will be appraised individually at special place; (overseas)
grade 7-8 will be evaluated after training. And people who apply for wushu dan grading have to sign up
and pay the cost in advance, and hand in related documentation timely.
7. Hong Kong sightseeing, shopping, and free travelling
The organizing committee will provide free Hong Kong travelling for the teams who accommodate
with our arrangement. The planning scenic spots are the Causeway Bay, Avenue of Stars, Redbud Square,
Victoria Peak, etc. There are also some all-expense tours, like travelling at Disney, Ocean Park, and night
cruising Hong Kong and Macau, etc. And people who have interest about all-expense tours have to tell us
and pay the cost in advance, then they could receive our special beautiful journey. For details please contact
the organizing committee.
8. Wushu film star autograph session
In order to better satisfy the requirements of participators, we committee will specially organize some
wushu film stars to sign their name as souvenir and take photos with team captains, coaches and athletes to
commemorate this wushu international championship.
9. Continuous Enrollment Award
For those competitors who continuously enroll our championship in this10 years,”Xie Zhi” company
will sponsor one jacket for encouragement
10. Chinese Calligraphy and Painting exhibition with essay contest
The topic for essay is “wushu championship and me”.
For application, please framed the painting and calligraphy or print the essay out and mail to our
committee office in advance, the dead line is 2011/11/30

Remark: We committee will arrange receptions in the hotels near Shenzhen customs pass, and give badges,
entry certificates, and souvenirs to the teams who accommodate with our arrangement in 2/27/2012. Also we
have receptions at Hong Kong airport and railway station. We can help to book tickets and hotels in advance,
and afford free transportation at 7:00am AND 8:00am SHARP on 28/2/2012 for participators who want
all-expense tours like travelling at Disney, Ocean Park or night cruising Macau. As for people who want to
travel in Shenzhen and apply in advance, we committee will help to book tickets and hotels too.

Competition Time
1. Individual event: 2 minutes
2. Taijiquan(Tai Chi): 6 minutes (there is a remindful whistle when 5 minutes past)
3. Taiji instruments, mulanquan, mulan instruments, taichi rouliqiu: 4 minutes (thers is a remindful whistle
when 3 minutes past)
4. Dual events: 1 minute (regardless of male and female group to matriculate), taichi sparring and repulsion are 3
minutes
5. Group events: 6 minutes. Wushu taolu, health qigong at least six people, rouliqiu at least eight people
(background music is permitted). Taekwondo group competition at least five athletes, and the time limitation
is one and a half minutes.
6. Taekwondo individual and group competition: one and a half minutes
7. Free combat competition: adopting the rules of the two out of three games, only 2 minutes per game, and
1 minute break..
8. Chinese Wresting: two game for each match, 2 minutes per game, 30 seconds break
Remarks: if the performance beyond the prescribed time-limit, for dual and individual events, the final
score will be deducted 0.1 point for every 2 seconds; for taijiquan, mulanquan, taekwondo individual
and group competition, the final score will be deducted 0.1 point for every 5 seconds, and so on.
Awards Rules
(1) Wushu Tulo (routine) competition
Individual and group events will be matriculated respectively according to domestic and foreign areas.
Individual events admitted the first 8 athletes respectively according to their age group, project, and
gender. The champion will get mascot, medal, and certificate, the runner-up will get medal, certificate,
and others get the certificate only.
Dual events and group events admitted the first 8 athletes respectively according to their age group,
project, and gender. The top 3 will get medal and certificate respectively, and the almighty athletes of
each age group will get prizes (Regardless of domestic and foreign areas).
(2) Free Combat Championship
It matriculated respectively according to the age group, project, and gender. The first will get mascot,
bonus, gold belt, and certificate; the second will get silver medal, and certificate, and third get bronze
medal and certificate only. Also, each athlete can receive competing commemorative certificate.
(3) Chinese Wrestling
It matriculated respectively according to the age group, project, and gender. The first will get mascot,
bonus, gold belt, and certificate; the second will get silver medal, and certificate, and third get bronze medal
and certificate only. Also, each athlete can receive competing commemorative certificate.
(4) Taekwondo Invitational Tournament
a. In the individual and dual events, the top 3 will get medal and certificate respectively base on 1/3
number of participants
b. In the group events, the top 3 will get trophy and certificate respectively base on 1/3 number of
participants
c. Best Technology Award selects 5 people with trophy, certificate
d. requirement for “Martial Spirit Award” must over 20 participants in one party
(5) Tai Chi Rouliqiu/ Health Qigong/ Stunt Exhibition Match
Both the group and individual Tai Chi Rouliqiu/ Health Qigong/ Stunt Exhibition will be awarded the
performance prize, and the top 3 will get medals and certificates. The content of stunt exhibition has to
get the approval of committee in advance, and the performers have to prepare the relative equipments
by themselves.
Competition Rules
(1) Wushu taolu competition complies with the 1991 Wushu Competition Rules and the complementary
regulations made by Chinese Martial Arts Association.
(2) International standard Level Tulo(routine) elite championships complies with “International Wushu
Championships Competition Rules”
(3) Free combat championship complies with the 1999 International Wushu Sanshou Competition Rules
and the complementary regulations made by International Wushu Federation.
(4) Chinese Wrestling complies with the 1991 Wushu Competition Rules by Chinese Wrestling Association
(5) Taekwondo invitational tournament complies with the latest Taekwondo Competition Rules made by
International Taekwondo Association
(6) Arbitration committee and referees assigned by the HKWSJ Committee
Competition Sportswear and equipment
(1) Wushu Taolu Competition, Taekwondo Invitational Tournament, and Tai Chi Rouliqiu/ Health Qigong/
Stunt Exhibition Match
There is no compulsive regulation about the competition garments, but the athletes should wear proper
characteristic sportswear.
(2) Free Combat Championship
Committee will provide athletes with head guard, chest protectors and boxing gloves. The athletes
should bring their own leg protectors, teeth guards, crotch guards and boxer shorts. And they are required to
bare their feet in the competition.
(3) Chinese Wrestling
Athletes bring their own wrestling cloths, wrestle pants and wrestle boots should under the competition
rule requirement
Application
(1) Registration deadline is December 1st, 2011.
(2)Wushu lovers all over the world can participate in, and can be named by the sponsor enterprise or
individual.
(3) The Wushu taolu competition athletes have to join at least 2 events. But if the athlete join our hotel
package, each athlete could take part in 4 events for free: two individual events, one group event, and one
dual event.
(4) In order to provide better service, for those people who apply the championship before July 1st 2011, a
pair of shoes provide by “Xie Zhi” for each athlete or a sportswear for Group(over 6 people)
(5) Within 20 days after the registration deadline, the participators who will absent for any reasons by
written application can still get back all deposit except the entry fee. More than 20 days, none of the fee will
be refund.
(6) To guarantee the competition normal and orderly, any adjustment for application MUST submit a written
application with 20RMB for administration charge
(7) Everyone should provide a two inches size photo for making commemorative certificate, captain
certificate and entry batch
Other Rules
(1) Free combat competition
Free Combat athletes MUSH provide the following documents before 2011-12-01
a. Free combat athletes should take the medical body checking in county level hospital three months
before in advance, and mail the Health Certificate to committee.

(2) Chinese Wrestling
HKWSJ will not be responsible for any accident during the competition.
(3) Process of Objection in Taekwondo
Objection should make by cough within 10min after the game is finished, 1000RMB with complaint
letter provide to the committee, if the committee accept the objection, 500RMB refund.
Application Fee
(1) For people who follow the accommodation provided by committee
Entry fee is RMB380/person, service fee is RMB180/person (only competitor have to pay), and 4 nights’
accommodation fee (luxurious five-star hotel accommodation is RMB1500/person).
(2) People who follow the accommodation can enjoy the follows services
1. 4 nights (or 3 nights) accommodation in Kong Hong.
2. Free 4 days breakfasts in luxurious five-star hotel (no breakfast in seaview resort hotel)
3. Souvenirs provided by the committee
4. Free transportation: Shenzhen port - Hong Kong station - Shenzhen port
5. Free shuttle bus between hotel and arena
6. Free Hong Kong travel tour
7. Free four events offered by the committee: two individual events, one dual event, and one group
event. As for free combat athelets, committee will provide one free combat event and two taolu events. For
taekwondo atheletes, committee will provide one individual event and one group event. And the extra events
have to pay RMB380/item.
Notice: After receiving the application form, copy of ID card (or passport, birth certificate), one 2
inches photo (remember write down the name on the back of the photo), together with the full cost
remittance certificate, the organizing committee will consider the enrollment effective. Then committee
could deliver the competition guidelines to each athlete, and makes commemorative certificate and entry
batch which will be the competition voucher in Hong Kong.
Besides, the organizing committee can help to reserve hotel in Macau and shenzhen for people come
over earlier or leave later, if need special travel arrangement, committee can also help to book bus ticket
(even return ticket) and tourist guide, but all the cost have to be paid one month before the opening date of
wushu championship.
(3)Discount under accommodation
1. When the number of group members is more than or equal to 16, one will be free of charge(except
service fee)
2. If extra people join the same bed room (no extra bed), please send the application and get the
approval of committee first, then pay the arrangement fee (five star hotel RMB1180, seaview resort hotel
RMB900), entry fee RMB380, service fee RMB180 (only competitor have to pay), and RMB380/event for
taolu competition and taekwondo athelets (at least apply two events) or RMB680/event for free combat
atheletes. After this you can enjoy the same accommodation services.
(4) For people who arrange accommodation by themselves
Please fill the application form carefully, and pay the entry fee RMB380/person, service fee
RMB180/person (only competitor have to pay)，RMB380/event for taolu athelets (including Tai Chi
Rouliqiu/ Health Qigong/ Stunt Exhibition/ taekwondo atheles), RMB200/person for group events (non free
combat athelets have to apply at least two events), or RMB680/person for free combat atheletes. Then send
the relative remittance certificate together with one piece of 2 inches photo without hat (remember write
down the name on the back of photo), and copy of ID card (or passport, birth certificate) to organizing
committee. After this the committee could delivery the competition guidelines to each athlete, and makes
commemorative certificate and chest card as the competition voucher in Hong Kong.

Ten Awards
(1) Individual all-around taolu awards
A. Rewards condition
Qualified all-around athletes must attend three items, one Chinese boxing, one instrument performance,
and one dual event. We set 19 age groups (See attached 1) according to male and female respectively to
admission, so the total is 38 groups. And we will admit the first three athletes per group, thus there will
be 114 athelete getting awards.
B. Rewards way
The champion will get the certificate of individual all-round athlete, and a set of special champion clothes
from “XieZhi”
The second and third will get the certificate of individual all-round athlete, and a set of sportswear.
(2) Wushu taolu group awards
A. Rewards condition
Qualified group must have at least 16 athletes.
Select one highest score (individual event, dual event, or group event) of each athlete, then add them one
by one to get the group total score.
B. Rewards way
a. The champion group (quota 1) will get the bonus HKD10000, the second group (quota 1) HKD5000,
the third group (quota 150) HKD1000.
b. All the groups will get their group medals respectively.
(3) Wushu outstanding contribution awards
A. Rewards condition
The organizing committee will choose and praise the outstanding participants who make great
contributions on promoting, propagandizing and popularizing Chinese martial arts.
B. Rewards way
Gold prize (quota 2) is HKD5000, silver prize (quota 2) is HKD3000, bronze prize (quota 100) is
HKD1000, and each one has a medal.
(4) “XieZhi” fair referees awards
Rewards condition
All the team leaders have the right to vote the most impartial referee after this championship, and the
organizing committee will reward the top five referees according to the final votes.
(5) Taekwondo group awards
The champion group will get the bonus HKD3000, the second group HKD2000, the third group
HKD1000, and all the groups will get their certificate and trophy respectively. Besides, the fourth and the
fifth group can also get the certificate. The score solution is as follows:
A. Group events (including mixed dual events), the top eight’s scores are 16, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1
respectively.
B. Individual events, the top eight’s scores are 10, 8, 6, 5,4, 3, 2, 1 respectively.
C. All above scores added one by one equal the group final score.
(6) Golden boy award and old age award
A. Rewards purpose:
It is to encouraging all people to actively participate in martial arts, and to promote the development of
martial arts.
B. Rewards way
The committee will choose the youngest and the oldest participators (according to the copy of registered
permanent residence or birth certificate) from the competition list, award them bonus HKD2000 and
medal respectively. Notice, people who enroll after 2011-12-01 will lose the selection chance.
(7) Taiji rouliqiu awards
A. Prescriptive taolu group awards:
Irrespective of age group, as long as group members joined total three sets prescriptive taolu competition,
the first set, the second set, the third set, the fourth set, or sunset song, the final scores of the group will be
the sum of three competiotion scores. And the top three will get bonus HKD1000 and certificates.
B. Excellent single group awards:
Irrespective of age group, as long as the groups got the champion in any single group performance, the
first set, the second set, the third set, the fourth set, the fifth set, self-selection taolu, or sunset song, they
will get bonus HKD500.
(8) Potential traditional wushu taolu awards
A. Rewards purpose:
It is to excavate the special and traditional wushu taolu and to enrich Chinese wushu treasury.
B. Rewards way
The events must attend the Hong Kong wushu international championship, and they have highlighted
characteristics, historical value and inheriting material. Besides, please apply the events with relative
materials and mail to the committee first. After approval, the committee will chose top 8 winners, and
make live recording discs as well as publication to the world.
(9) “Wushu virtue cup” moral awards
There are many participators in previous wushu championship returning lost money and being happy to
help others, thus this time the organizing committee added 10 moral awards, and will issue tapestry flags
and certificates as well as bonus HKD1000 to each moral winners.
(10) International standard Level Tulo(routine) elite championships
In order to increase the average level of competitor, we provide Tulo(routine) elite championships,
we hope that it will have a TOP standard competitor in this champions, we only accept national team
to apply. this championship will provide the unique venue with International referee and international
Carpet in (14M x 8M)
3 people will be select from each gender group, first one get 8000HKD, second one get 3000HKD,
third one get 1000HKD.
PS: For those people joined International standard Level Tulo(routine) elite championships, other
game is not allowed for apply.
Supplementary provisions:
1. The above each clause interpretation right belongs to Hong Kong wushu international championship
committee.
2. The organizing committee has the right to free use the image of any participants.

(2) Dual events and group events will not divided by male and female, or age categories, but individual events have to
follow the relative age categories. The tai chi events’ age standard is depended on the youngest, but non tai chi events’ age
standard is depended on the highest age.

1. Aim
In order to increase the average level of competitor, we provide Tulo(routine) elite championships, we
hope that it will have a TOP standard competitor in this champions, we only accept national team to
apply. This championship will provide the unique venue with International referee and international
Carpet in (14M x 8M)
2. Qualification
- Players must follow the rules of the International Wushu Championships Competition optional
routine self-selection, and fill out in advance, "coefficient Optional Skills (ABC) returns “reported
-Players cannot apply other item
3. Category
a. Changquan: Optional Changquan, short weapon (sword optional), long weapons (stick gun
optional)
b. Nanquan: Nanquan, South Knife, South Nangun
c. Tai Chi: Tai Chi, Tai Chi Sword
4. Award
A. Individual: Top 3 for each gender
B. All-Around: Top 3 for each gender
