WAKE UP WITH MCTS AT THREE PARK-RIDE LOTS
Free Donut, Coffee & Newspaper for Commuters

Milwaukee, WI - - The Milwaukee County Transit System’s (MCTS) celebration of

“150 Years of Public Transportation” continues on Wednesday, August 25 with a

morning treat for commuters at the State Fair, Northshore, and Holt Park-Ride Lots.

Thanks to a partnership with Dunkin’ Donuts and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

“MCTS is grateful for the sponsorship of Dunkin’ Donuts and the Milwaukee

Journal-Sentinel of this promotion as part of our celebration highlighting a century and

half of transit connecting our community,” said Anita Gulotta-Connelly, MCTS Managing

Director. “Freeway Flyer service began in the 1960s; these riders are an essential part

of transit history.”

At the three park-ride lots during the Wednesday morning, riders will get a free

doughnut, coffee and newspaper, from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., or while supplies last.

"Reading newspapers and riding transit go hand in hand. In addition to being

good for the environment and lessening road congestion riding metro transit is good for

the community and the Journal Sentinel. We are pleased to have a part in this great

day that celebrates transit ridership,” commented David Wise, Marketing Director,

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
