groundswell to bring generational reform to every level of our government. We also committed to developing a new

It’s made us the leading developer of the nation’s new 21 century grassroots political infrastructure.

In 2009, we began working with thousands of local Tea Parties and other members of a new wave of citizen-activists. We

A New Year for the Tax Reform that Could
One of my fondest memories growing up was my mother reading to me after lunch. As she read another chapter I eagerly listened while
learning about courage, loyalty and patriotism.
Of all the books she read, one simple story had a profound impact on my view of approaching adversity and impossible tasks in life.
The Little Engine That Could is a simple yet beautiful story that chronicles a train desperately trying to find an engine to pull it over a
mountain. After being rejected by many large, modern engines the train finally finds a tiny, old engine that agrees to do the best it can in
pulling the train. The engine hooks on and believing it can, starts slowly ascending the mountain all the while saying to itself, “I think I can, I
think I can. I think I can.”
As we begin FairTax 2012, I am once again reminded of The Little Engine That Could. The naysayers in Congress and political talking
heads are always eager to point out why the FairTax isn’t a viable tax replacement plan. Major corporations, who have coalesced together
to influence and control the tax reform discussion, are fueling these “big engines”. To many this kind of adversity would be overwhelming.
What all these forces fail to realize, however, is the FairTax train was founded and is being pulled by an engine known as the American
people. Our dedicated team of grassroots activist are at the heart of the FairTax engine and your “I think I can” spirit comes through in
everything you do.
The mountain is high but our train is climbing and our engine is making sure and steady progress. During the coming weeks we will focus
on specific action items that we need you to do in the weeks and months ahead. I am confident that working together the FairTax train is
capable of going up and over the mountain. Are you?

Feature Article: New Jersey Leads the Way!
One of the most impressive volunteer media efforts last year was initiated by Doug Hartlove in New Jersey. Here's his story of how it was possible.
Last January I organized a New Jersey Rapid Response Team (RRT) that has had remarkable results in spreading the FairTax message,
including 38 letters to the editor published in 2011 and online postings generating dozens of comments!
As the coordinator, I would send the RRT members a link from New Jersey newspapers on the 15 and 30 of each month. I included
guidance on word limits and gave specific instructions on where to send the finished letters.
So that other team members could continue learning about the FairTax and writing letters to the editor, we distributed our letters to each
Each team member knew they would get two links to target publications each month and the preparation they needed in order to begin
writing their letter. Volunteers found the work to be fun and rewarding while not being over burdening due to a limited scope.
The end result was that thousands of Americans have seen our FairTax letters to the editor, making this project’s ground game a very
Do you want an easy way to influence people around you? Write a letter to the editor with these quick tips here!
The Grassroots Spotlight - Al Ose
We asked the top FairTax letter to the editor expert, Al Ose, to explain the secret to his success.
We FairTaxers have a burning desire to pass the FairTax plan and writing a letter to the editor releases some of that energy and feels great!
In order to create interest in a letter to the editor it’s helpful to start out with a current event or problem and thread the FairTax into your
story. This approach allows the writer to describe how passage of the FairTax might impact the event and solve the problem.
As you write your letter you may determine that you need to conduct additional FairTax research. Well researched and factual statements
will always make for strong letters. Keep in mind, not all letters will be printed, but don’t become discouraged. Keep writing! When the
paper's editor sees more and more letters on the FairTax, they will be more inclined to publish more opinions.
Lastly, I can’t tell you how important numbers are. When your newspaper starts printing multiple FairTax letters from different people, we’ll
gain more credibility and many new supporters.
I began writing letters to the editor in January of ’99 when I realized I could reach a much larger audience for the FairTax using newspapers
as a communication vehicle. I quickly realized that writing letters to many editors provided compound interest. I researched and found email
addresses for newspaper editors. During the past ten years I’ve sent letters to these 81 editors across Wisconsin. To date I’ve had at least
156 letters published.

End tax blame game by enacting Fair Tax – NJ.com
…This holiday (a cut in Social Security payroll deductions) is a political blame game with both parties trying to win votes, but not helping the
people who rely on Social Security. This so-called holiday will cause underfunding, and will hurt unemployed or retired workers who no
longer contribute to Social Security. Let’s find a better solution.
Take a bold approach to business expansion in this country by enacting House Resolution 25, “The Fair Tax.”
The Fair Tax (a national sales tax proposal) would eliminate the Internal Revenue Service, all federal personal and corporate income taxes,
and all federal payroll taxes — while being revenue neutral. With Fair Tax enactment, corporations could plan for the future. Foreign
investors would put money into the U.S. economy, while hard-working people will be able to work for themselves instead of the
'Fair Tax' deserves to be considered, not ignored – News-Sentinel
…If you can keep all of your paycheck, they point out, you'll have more money to spend. With corporate taxes eliminated, companies would
stop sheltering their cash offshore, using it to create jobs here. In fact, supporters insist, studies indicate that passage of the fair tax would
result in more revenue for the government, higher incomes for workers and retires and would result in increased philanthropy despite the
elimination of deductions for charitable giving.
What's more, they say, the fair tax is progressive – a byproduct of the wealthy buying more stuff and so-called “prebates” – a monthly return
of sales tax revenues based on the size of families.
You've got to admit, there's a certain appeal to being able to control your taxes simply by controlling your spending. What's more,
Armstrong pointed out, the fair tax is consistent with the Constitution's original intent…

"To succeed, the FairTax cannot simply have a supporter; it needs a champion. I commit to you that Rob Woodall is
that." – Congressman John Linder, retired
Rep. Woodall Calls for Elimination of IRS
The sponsor of the FairTax legislation and champion of the FairTax, Congressman Rob Woodall, wrote an outstanding piece on doing away with the IRS. We
share it with you in its entirety.
With tax season just around the corner, I want to call your attention to a Taxpayer Advocate report that was recently delivered to Congress
discussing the abject failure of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to adequately serve America’s taxpayers.
Take a look at some of their outrageous (though not altogether surprising) findings:
By the end of last year, it took the IRS more than six weeks to answer nearly half of taxpayers’ letters and faxes dealing with
adjustments to their returns.
Between 2004 and last year, the agency did not even bother to answer 30% of taxpayer phone calls.
Over the previous decade, 4,428 changes have been made to our 3.8 million-word tax code.
Americans already waste $431 billion per year complying with our tax code, yet the IRS is clearly incapable of doing its part by providing
basic services to those taxpayers – such as picking up the phone. What does the IRS demand as a solution to its failures? More of your
money. That’s right – the IRS wants an increase to the $11.8 billion they have already been given.
We don’t need to reform the IRS; we need to eliminate it.
That is why I am championing H.R. 25, the FairTax, which would dismantle the IRS and replace our current tax code with a 23%
consumption tax at the final point of purchase for new goods and services. Not only would the FairTax do away with the headache of
income tax compliance, it would also replace all other federal taxes. Congress wouldn’t need to continue debating whether or not
Americans should get another two-month “holiday” from the payroll tax – the FairTax would permanently eliminate it. We wouldn’t have to
keep fighting over which industries should continue to be subsidized with federal dollars in this budget-slashing era; the FairTax would
eliminate them all and level the playing field for everyone.
Our current tax code is not doing America any favors. In fact, it is literally destroying economic growth and productivity. The sheer
complexity of the law – taxpayers had to deal with 579 changes in 2010 alone – forces businesses to redirect precious resources from
investment in new capital to tax code compliance. Instead of spending the $431 billion each year hiring new employees or investing in
innovation, businesses are forced to spend the money complying with our punitive tax laws. Couple that with the fact that we have the
highest book effective tax rate in the world, and it becomes clear that we need to scrap our tax code and start over.
It is also clear that more freedom – not more bureaucracy and more government spending – is the answer. At its core, the FairTax is not a
tax bill at all; it’s a freedom bill. We need to free ourselves from the $11.8 billion annual price tag on the IRS; we need to free the most
productive workforce in the world from the suffocating red tape of our tax code; and we must free our businesses from the barrier that is
preventing America from being the best place in the world to invest. America needs to pass the FairTax and free ourselves from our
destructive tax code – and the IRS – once and for all.

The volunteer District Director for the 10th District of Texas, Ed Sarlls, did an outstanding job coordinating a FairTax booth last week. Here is his report.
FairTax volunteers went above and beyond the call of duty, promoting the FairTax at the Saddle Up Texas Straw Poll on January 12-14.
There were over 700 attendees including many activists, campaign staff, and talk radio outlets from Texas.
During the event, volunteers staffed a FairTax booth, exchanged ideas for promoting the FairTax, educated Texans in attendance and

Personal discussions were also held with three current U.S. House members (who are all FairTax sponsors), four U.S. Senate candidates
and five U.S. House candidates and their campaign staff.
In addition, FairTax Volunteer District Director and booth organizer, Ed Sarlls, was interviewed by political videographer, Eddie Gallegos, at
the event and it was published to YouTube, here.
One candidate even sent a personal follow up email to the FairTax volunteers he met stating:

Whole tax system needs an overhaul – Smoky Mountain News
What America desperately needs is major tax reform. Many people see this and are in support, but the big guys like hiding the pea and
have attorneys working against reform of any kind. The Fair Tax is a step in the right direction for tax reform, where each and every citizen
with a Social Security number gets a prebate in the amount of defined poverty level.
Income is not taxed at your employer, we would do away with the current tax system, and we would stop all the complicated tax filings that
most Americans find hard to understand. Savings are not taxed, thereby encouraging more to save. Capital gains and the death tax would
go away! What this would eliminate is the double and sometimes triple taxation on goods and income that is in place now.

'Fair Tax' is no threat to Social Security – NJ.com
…the fair tax can be a significant step to safeguard Social Security, Medicare and other entitlements. It would be revenue-neutral; thus its

It gets much, much worse.

What it costs Americans to simply figure out how much money to send to Washington is astronomical and to add insult to injury, the more
complicated our tax system grows, the fewer pay and the higher your tax bills climb!
To begin, compliance costs are defined as the total time or money that must be expended by businesses and individuals in their struggle
simply to calculate substantiate and pay the taxes owed.
A recent study shows that U.S. taxpayers waste an astounding $431.1 billion annually on tax compliance. That means that we pay about 30
percent of our total income taxes Washington receives, just to be able to pay them!
How large is $431.1 billion? Its more than the dollar value of all the goods and services produced in 42 individual states, such as Michigan or
Virginia and even the nation of Saudi Arabia!
But Congress inflicts still even more damage from our out of control tax code! As recent FairTax.org testimony stated:
"Furthermore, the estimate of $431.1 billion in tax compliance costs does not include any of the behavioral changes that misallocate
resources from their most economically efficient uses toward their most tax-efficient uses.
And it does not include the fact the compliance expenditures themselves reallocate resources away from hiring, reinvestment, plant or
equipment, research and development and other productive activity; to fund an industry of tax attorneys, accountants and financial planners
that itself produces nothing that adds to our economic well-being.
Nor do these compliance costs measure the lost economic opportunities due to the uncertainty created by our complex tax code. Research
has found a strong negative relationship between economic growth and several policy uncertainty variables."
All these outrageous attributes of our current federal tax code produce another ominous statistic. For the latest year available, the amount of
taxes owed but not reported or paid, totals $450 billion!
Who will continue to make up for those who do not pay their share of taxes if we do not pass the FairTax legislation?

Best Case for a Flat/Fair Tax - Fox Business
The I.R.S. out with a big report today, charging many of us are scofflaws when it comes to paying our taxes.
In fact, we've underpaid our taxes by 17 percent. That's right -- the I.R.S.’s "tax gap" resulted in tax collections 450 billion dollars below what

What we really need is a tax code that people feel is fair -- a tax code that people are more likely to comply with. A simpler tax code.
The sheer fact that nearly half of Americans pay no income taxes at all adds to that feeling the system is unfair and that some people have to

This new report is the best argument for a flatter, fairer tax code in this country, even the I.R.S. admits that.

Educate Yourself About the FairTax
The FairTax is not just a transformational tax reform proposal; it's a dramatically different vision for America. Most politicians don't have the
guts to stand on principal and invest themselves in changing America for the better because it means taking a risk. If those politicians are
going break the pattern and change our government, you must learn everything you can about the FairTax in order to start the dialog with
them and successfully create a new FairTax supporter.
You and I know that the best way to collect revenue at the federal level is the FairTax. As FairTax supporters, you are unofficial
ambassadors of this transformative proposal and it's important that you understand all the merits of H.R. 25 and S. 13 and how the FairTax

the FairTax. If they support the FairTax, it’s likely they have a firm and thoughtful vision for America.
At campaign events and town halls, challenge politicians to either support the FairTax or ask them to offer a substantive reason not to. Know
how to defend the FairTax, so even if you haven't convinced the politician, you've convinced those in the audience.
Tell Your Friends and Neighbors
The FairTax's success so far has been the result of a groundswell due to the work of supporters like all of you. In our society, people listen to
their friends and neighbors and they actually care about what they think. Don't hesitate to get involved in grassroots activities in your area to
let your peers know that you support the FairTax. Chances are, once they learn about it, they'll support it too.
Use Social Media
The usefulness of social media can never be discounted. Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are great ways to advertise your support for the
FairTax and network with other FairTax supporters. One great way to show your support is to "like" FairTax supporters on Facebook. You
can do this with Representatives, Senators and other FairTax supporters who champion the cause in the media. This helps increase their

Johnson: Let’s get America moving again – The Washington Times
…First, we need to get rid of the income tax. When our first great Supreme Court justice, John Marshall, equated the power to tax and the
power to destroy, he was predicting what’s happening to our country right now. Giant, slow corporations spend their money on lobbying
because tax avoidance is where their profit is. General Electric earned $14.2 billion in 2010 and paid zero taxes on it. Why? Because it has
the lobbyists to get subsidies and tax breaks…
We also need to get rid of payroll taxes. Look at it from the perspective of employers for a moment. When they want to hire someone, it costs
more than just the wage they’re paying. They have to pay payroll taxes, including for Social Security and Medicare. That cost is about 10
percent of the wages they pay an employee. Remove that burden, and employers will be able to hire 10 percent more people. With an
unemployment rate of 10 percent, why wouldn’t we jump at this chance? The Fair-tax replaces employment and payroll taxes…

You probably don't need a reminder, but it doesn't hurt to remind everyone that the fight against lawsuit abuse is more
important than ever. Here are a few of the facts. -Project Lawsuit Abuse
New Law Puts Ambulance Chasers in The Hot Seat
No matter when we turn on our televisions, we always seem to see the same monotonous commercials featuring some
personal injury lawyers promising thousands of dollars in damages to victims of an accident. As annoying as these
advertisements may be, they are usually legal solicitations for clients. -The Southeast Texas Record
A New Litigation Trend?
When the class action system doesn't work, sue elsewhere? That's what Californian Heather Peters is doing. The
situation started when the Los Angeles woman was perturbed that her 2006 Honda Civic hybrid car did not reach its
claimed fuel economy. Cases like this typically become class action lawsuits - especially in California. -Project Lawsuit
199 Problems... And They're All Defendants
A man is suing 199 companies he claims are responsible for his father's lung injury and death. Larry D. Westfall was a

Seriously?! Warhol's Banana in Lawsuit
To rock 'n' roll historians, it's known as the album that first sold only 10,000 copies but inspired a generation. And now the
record known as "The Velvet Underground and Nico," can take credit for something else some 45 years after its release:
a federal lawsuit against the foundation that manages the work of artist and former friend, Andy Warhol. -The Wall Street
Government Watchdog: Legal reform absent from speech
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin's first State of the State address focused on creating jobs and economic growth. But he didn't
mention legal reform. "It was a pro-jobs and pro-growth speech," said Steve Roberts, president of the West Virginia
Chamber of Commerce. "Governor Tomblin is to be applauded for bringing so much focus to job creation and economic
development." -The West Virginia Record
Actress Who Sued Over Age Reveals Herself
Last fall, media outlets went crazy over a supposed "mystery actress" who was suing IMDB for revealing her age on the

when the news was released in the beginning of January, it was a surprise twist that none of us saw coming. -Project
So this is our lawsuit, eh?
In the movie "Strange Brew," Bob and Doug McKenzie take a beer bottle with a mouse inside and try to use it as leverage

Mountain Dew suit par for course in Judicial Hellhole
The nation is buzzing about a lawsuit in Madison County involving a man, a mouse and a can of Mountain Dew. The

the case also is a serious reminder of the lack of fairness and balance in Illinois courtrooms. -The Dispatch

35 TERROR TRAINING CAMPS NOW OPERATING INSIDE U.S.
Government does nothing to impede expansion of 'Soldiers of Allah' network
WASHINGTON – A radical jihadist group responsible for nearly 50 attacks on American soil is operating 35 terrorist training camps across the
nation, but the U.S. government refuses to include the organization on the State Department’s list of foreign terrorists.
Jamaat ul-Fuqra, known in the U.S. as “Muslims of America,” has purchased or leased hundreds of acres of property – from New York to California
– in which the leader, Sheikh Mubarak Gilani, boasts of conducting “the most advanced training courses in Islamic military warfare.”
In a recruitment video captured from Gilani’s “Soldiers of Allah,” he states in English: “We are fighting to destroy the enemy. We are dealing with
evil at its roots and its roots are America.”
Though Gilani and his organization is suspected of committing assassinations and firebombings inside the U.S., and is also suspected of the
beheading murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, the terrorist camps spread through the country continue to expand in
numbers and population.
A documentary called “Homegrown Jihad: Terrorist Training Camps Around the U.S.” provides compelling evidence of how “Muslims of America”
operates with impunity inside the U.S. In the video, producers visited some camps, attempted to visit others and interviewed neighbors and local
police officials. It also include excerpts of the “Muslims of America” recruitment video.
Get “Homegrown Jihad: Terrorist Training Camps Around the U.S.” and share it with your neighbors, your local police officials and your
representatives in Congress.
The recruitment video shows American converts to Islam being instructed in the operation of AK-47 rifles, rocket launchers and machine guns and
C4 explosives. It provides instruction in how to kidnap Americans, kill them and how to conduct sabotage and subversive operations.
Jamaat ul-Fuqra’s attacks on American soil range from bombings to murder to plots to blow up U.S. landmarks. A 2006 Department of Justice report
states Jamaat ul-Fuqra “has more than 35 suspected communes and more than 3,000 members spread across the United States, all in support of one
goal: the purification of Islam through violence.” In 2005, the Department of Homeland Security predicted the group would continue to carry out
attacks in the U.S.
“Act like you are his friend. Then kill him,” says Gilani in the recruitment video, explaining how to handle American “infidels.”
Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl was attempting to interview Jamaat ul-Fuqra’s leader, Gilani, in 2002 when he was kidnapped and later
beheaded. One year later, Iyman Faris, member of both Jamaat ul-Fuqra and al-Qaida, pleaded guilty in federal court to a plot to blow up the
Gilani was at one time in Pakistani custody for the abduction of Pearl. Intelligence sources also suggest a link between Jamaat ul Fuqra and Richard
Reid, the infamous “shoe bomber” who attempted to ignite explosives aboard a Paris-to-Miami passenger flight Dec. 22, 2001.
“What we are witnessing here is kind of a brand-new form of terrorism,” says FBI Special Agent Jody Weis in the documentary. “These home-grown
terrorists can prove to be as dangerous as any known group, if not more so,”
As WND reported, a covert visit to a Jamaat ul-Fuqra encampment in upstate New York by the Northeast Intelligence Network found neighboring
residents deeply concerned about military-style training taking place there but frustrated by the lack of attention from federal authorities.
Muslims of the Americas Inc., a tax-exempt organization, has been directly linked by court documents to Jamaat ul-Fuqra. The organization operates
communes of primarily black, American-born Muslims throughout the U.S. The investigation confirmed members commonly use aliases and
intentional spelling variations of their names and routinely deny the existence of Jamaat ul-Fuqra.
The group openly recruits through various social service organizations in the U.S., including the prison system. Members live in compounds where
they agree to abide by the laws of Jamaat ul-Fuqra, which are considered to be above local, state and federal authority.
U.S. authorities have probed the group for charges ranging from links to al-Qaida to laundering and funneling money into Pakistan for terrorist
activities. The organization supports various terrorist groups operating in Pakistan and Kashmir, and Gilani himself is linked directly to Hamas and
Gilani’s American headquarters is in Hancock, N.Y., where training is provided to recruits who are later sent to Pakistan for more jihadist
paramilitary training, according to law enforcement authorities.
A Justice Department report to law enforcement agencies, prepared in 2006, provides a glimpse into how long Jamaat ul-Fuqra or “Muslims of
America” has been operating inside the U.S.: “Over the past two decades, a terrorist group known as Jamaat ul-Fuqra, or ‘Community of the
Impoverished,’ has been linked to multiple murders, bombings and various other felonies throughout the United States and Canada.”
Gilani’s “communes” are described by law enforcement as “classically structured terrorist cells.”
Seven of the compounds have been identified as training facilities: Marion, Alabama; Commerce, Georgia; Macon, Georgia; Talihina, Oklahoma;
York County, South Carolina; Dover, Tennessee and Red House, Virginia. Other compounds are located in California, Colorado, Texas, Maryland,
Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, Michigan and West Virginia.

America” aka Jamaat ul-Fuqra. See “Homegrown Jihad: Terrorist Training Camps Around the U.S.” with your own eyes.
SUPREME COURT JUSTICE: U.S. CONSTITUTION INFERIOR
'I might look at South Africa. Canada has a Charter of Rights and Freedoms'
One member of the U.S. Supreme Court, whose members are sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States, says she would look elsewhere –
Canada, South Africa and Europe – should she be tasked with writing a constitution now.
The stunning statements come from Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
She was being interviewed by Al Hayat in Egypt, which is trying to develop a government after citizens deposed longtime dictator President Hosni
Mubarack last year.
Egypt is facing major obstacles to a democratic form of government as the Muslim Brotherhood as a political party has been assembling a majority in
the country. Among its goals is a Muslim caliphate worldwide.
She was asked: “Would your honor’s advice be to get a part of other countries’ constitutions as a model, or should we develop our own draft?
“You should certainly be aided by all the constitution-writing that has gone on since the end of World War II. I would not look to the U.S.
constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012. I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a
fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, had an independent judiciary. It really is, I think, a great piece of work that
“Much more recent than the U.S. Constitution is Canada has a Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It dates from 1982. You would almost certainly look
at the European Convention on Human Rights. Yes, why not take advantage of what there is elsewhere in the world? I’m a very strong believer in
listening and learning from others.”
Mathew Staver, chief of Liberty Counsel, said her attitude is problematic.
“For a sitting U.S. Supreme Court justice to speak derisively about the Constitution she is sworn to uphold is distressing, to say the least. Justice
Ginsburg’s comments about our Constitution undermine the Supreme Court as an institution dedicated to the rule of law, as well as our founding
According to Liberty Counsel, “For a United States Supreme Court justice, entrusted with the duty to interpret the Constitution, this type of statement
is unacceptable. Justice Ginsburg failed to respect the authority of the document that it is her duty to protect. When given the opportunity to promote
American liberty abroad, Justice Ginsburg did just the opposite and pointed Egypt in the direction of progressivism and the liberal agenda.”
Ginsburg also noted that among her favorite parts of the Constitutions is the provision that judges’ salaries cannot be reduced, as well as a guarantee
of independence to judges.
She also said the U.S. Constitution is “rather old,” and told Egyptians that a constitution will mean nothing unless the people it serves and protects
desire liberty and freedom.
“If the people don’t care, then the best constitution in the world won’t make any difference,” she said.
In a commentary at Slate, David Weigel said, “Ginsburg has disturbed the balance of the universe by giving an interview to Egyptian television in
which she does not recommend using the U.S. Constitution as a model for post-Mubarak happiness.”
He continued, “If you want, here you go: Proof that a Supreme Court justice … looks to other countries for advice on an evolving Constitution! Of
course, we’ve known this about Ginsburg for years, because she’s said so repeatedly.”
At American Spectator, John Tabin said she “gets one of nine votes on the functional meaning of the U.S. Constitution. That she thinks the age of the
Constitution she’s charged with interpreting make[s] it deficient relative to newer constitutions is kind of shocking, particularly in the context of her
praise for the rights enshrined in the First Amendment – rights that, in practice, are protected far less robustly in South Africa or Canada or Europe
than they are in the U.S.
Justice Ginsburg Violates Her Oath
Posted by KrisAnne Hall
If you are wondering what causes the destruction of America, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, may give part of the
answer to this question.
Al Hayat TV in Egypt interviewed Justice Ginsburg asking her for the advice she would give Egypt in writing the Constitution for their
newly formed government. Her reply to this question gives insight into this her thoughts and understanding of the very Constitution she
has given an oath to support and defend.
“I can’t speak as to what the Egyptian experience should be” she said, “because I am operating under a rather old Constitution, the
United States in comparison to Egypt is a very new nation, yet we have the oldest Constitution still in force in the world…”
Immediately, Ginsburg diminishes the value of our Constitution because it is the “oldest Constitution”. She is completely ignoring the
fact that it is the oldest Constitution because of the very foundation and principles it espouses. Our founders, although wise and
possibly geniuses, were not making up things as they went along, they built a nation upon 700 years of experience with human nature,
tyranny, and Liberty in mind. Our Constitution is not over 200 years old, but in reality, its principles and practices are over 1,000 years
old. And it IS its age that gives it its credibility. It IS the tried and tested principles and practices that make America the shining city on a
hill and the envy of the world.
But Mrs. Ginsburg’s criticism of our Constitution doesn’t end there. When asked by the reporter if Egypt should look to the US
Constitution as an example to form their own, her response is shocking.
“You should be aided by all the constitutional writings that have gone on since the end of World War II, I would not look to the US
Constitution if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012.”
Yes, you heard right, she is telling Egypt to disregard our Constitution when drafting theirs. She offers up, rather, the Constitutions of
South Africa and Canada. She even strongly suggests the European Union’s Human Rights statement as a BETTER example of
“I might look at the Constitution of South Africa, that was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that
embraced basic human rights; [they have] an independent judiciary, it really is, I think a great piece of work that was done, much more
recently than the United States Constitution. Canada has a charter of rights and freedoms that dates from 1982. You would most
certainly look at the European convention on human rights…”
Can we glean from these statements that Mrs. Ginsburg does not believe OUR Constitution was a “deliberate attempt to embrace basic
human rights”? I am really beginning to wonder what Mrs. Ginsburg actually KNOWS about our Constitution. After all, how is a nation
founded upon the principles that “All men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among
these Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” not deliberately attempting to embrace basic human rights? Maybe she missed Sam
Adams’ explanation of the rights of the colonists when he said they were “First, a right to life; Secondly, to liberty; Thirdly, to property;
together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner they can.” I guess in Mrs. Ginsburg’s books, those are not
principles of basic human rights. In this interview, Mrs. Ginsburg says she is “a very strong believer in learning and listening to others”,
unfortunately she never took the time to learn and listen to the men and women who founded this nation.
Mrs. Ginsberg does acknowledge the wisdom of our founders but points out the absence of women at the Constitutional Convention:
“…we were just tremendously fortunate in the US that men who met in Philadelphia were very wise, it is true they were lacking one
thing, that is there were no women as part of the Constitutional Conventions, but there were women around, who sparked the idea…”
It is interesting that even if it is just in passing, Mrs. Ginsberg does acknowledge that women were involved in the foundational “ideas”
of this nation. Yet she does a great disservice to the women of that era by completely ignoring the magnitude of their input. Her
perpetration of revisionist history even becomes part of her advice to the country of Egypt.
“John Adams who was one of our first presidents, and instrumental in the Constitutional Congress, his wife Abigail was very well
known, intelligent, said “Now John when you write that Constitution, please remember the ladies.” And he wrote back something
amusing, he said, “are you suggesting that women should be part of the political community, look if we do that everyone will be claiming
the right to vote, 12 year old boys will be claiming the right”, he treated like a joke…”
The internet is an amazing thing. It was not difficult to find the letters between Abigail and John that she references and John Adams
said NOTHING like what Mrs. Ginsburg claims. Most historians not in the business of rewriting history are quick to acknowledge that
John Adams held his wife in very high regard and often relied on her wisdom. Additionally, most of our founders felt the same way
about the strong women in their lives. To suggest as Mrs. Ginsburg does, that the men excluded women from this process because
they were tyrants and oppressive husbands, is as ridiculous as her rendition of the letters she quotes. Liberty, as John Adams
describes in this letter is contagious. Our founders knew that with patience and proper focus on Liberty, in time, all would enjoy as much
or as little Liberty as they wished to obtain. This is a valuable point Mrs. Ginsburg would do well to point out to a newly forming nation.
The truly puzzling thing is that she admits that our founders were “wise” and calls them “genius” and even admits that women had a role
in sparking the “idea” of Liberty. But she then immediately perpetuates the liberal lie that our founders were not interested in women’s
rights and wanted slavery to remain a guiding principle in this nation. May I remind Mrs. Ginsberg that the Declaration of Independence
states “ALL” men are created equal. Not all men of a particular race, color or creed, or not even just all AMERICANS, but all men. In my
dictionary “all” means “all”. In “listening and learning” from our founders they made it clear that slavery was something that must be
abolished. It is precisely why they set a “sunset” for the institution of slavery. Maybe Mrs. Ginsburg doesn’t understand that provision
since our current government doesn’t respect “sunset” provisions and simply votes to perpetuate them.
To our founders, who were focused on Liberty, creating a union of states was the most important aspect to ensuring that Liberty would
prosper. They knew they could not plow new fields overnight and if they tried to change the world in one move, the union would never
have a chance, and Liberty would not have its way in all the states. They understood the fundamental aspect of Liberty, that if the focus
of a society is on Liberty, that Liberty will be contagious. People who observe others enjoying Liberty will always want to enjoy it for
themselves. Our government was established as a Republic so once that desire for Liberty began to spread, a minority group could
have a society-changing voice. Our founders deliberately did not establish a democracy, because in that form of government, the
majority would always choke to death the desire for Liberty of a minority. Yet another point that Mrs. Ginsberg might be wise to share
with Egypt instead of encouraging them to strive “to achieve a general democracy…”
The dichotomy of her praise and criticism of our founders and our Constitution shows that she is greatly misinformed of both. The fact
that she would lift up the European Union’s Human Rights statement should greatly concern us. But the finality of her statement to a
newly forming nation, that they should NOT look to the wisdom of our founders and use our Constitution as a guide gives us the
greatest insight into what she believes about the founding of our nation and the supreme law of the land.
I have begun to understand that those in our government repeatedly take oaths that they do not understand do not actually believe.
Taking an oath and not understanding what that oath means, is the equivalent of taking no oath at all. Mrs. Ginsberg is a great
example. Here is the oath every Supreme Court Justice takes:
"I, _________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all
enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without
any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I
am about to enter. So help me God."
According to an online dictionary the word “support” means to keep from weakening or failing, to strengthen. Synonyms for this word
are uphold, back, advocate, champion. According to the same online dictionary the word “defend” means to keep safe from danger,
attack, or harm, to ward off an attack. It seems to me, that putting down our Constitution and lifting up others above it is a very strange
way to keep it from weakening, to advocate for it, and to ward off attacks against it. This justice, whose entire job depends upon the
definition of words, seems to have forgotten the meaning of these vital words. Mrs. Ginsburg might do well to pick up a dictionary and
put down her distorted Constitutional law books.
Mrs. Ginsburg did make one statement that was right on. When asked her ideas on how to draft a constitution, her reply should cause
every patriot to sit up and take notice.
“A Constitution, as important as it is, will mean nothing unless the people are yearning for liberty and freedom if the people don’t care,
then the best Constitution in the world won’t make any difference, so spirit of liberty must be in the population.”
Bravo, Mrs. Ginsburg, you have the fundamental foundation for being a patriot. Now, put down your law books, put down your
revisionist history, set aside your agendas and REALLY "learn and listen" to the men you called genius. Learn WHY they were able to
pledge their lives, their fortune, and their sacred honor so ages and millions yet unborn could live in the greatest nation on the planet
protected by the greatest human rights statements ever drafted. You may just then begin to understand the pledge you took, and the
principles embodied in the document you are supposed to support and defend. You will then be qualified to maintain that seat on the
Supreme Court. May I be so bold as to suggest a really great book for you to get started? Not A Living Breathing Document, Reclaiming
Federal Court Strikes Down Oklahoma's Ban On Shari'a Law
Posted by Jared Law
The Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals (Denver) today ruled, IN EFFECT, that Oklahoma voters, 70% of whom voted for the ban on
Islamist, or "Shari'a Law," are mean, racist, and unconstitutionally stopping CAIR and Islamists from taking over Oklahoma, and that
women, Christians, Jews, and other non-Muslims' natural law right to the freedom of religion, private property rights, and other rights
that are routinely discarded wherever Shari'a law is enforced, are less equal than Muslim males, and are, in fact, unconstitutional.
I can't wait to see what Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia, and Chief Justice John G. Roberts, all have to say about this!
I just don't understand what the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals is thinking...do they WANT teh Supreme Court to overturn yet another
ruling on their record? Do they care about how bad this makes the 10th Circuit look? I mean, heck, not nearly as bad as the most oft-
overturned court in America, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (San Francisco), but still...this is a HORRIBLE ruling!
SHARI'A LAW IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!! How can banning it be UNconstitutional? That is literally, INSANE.
Here's the story from the Associated Press:
Court: Oklahoma ban on Islamic Law Unconstitutional
Jan 10, 2:00 PM EST
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An amendment that would ban Oklahoma courts from considering international or Islamic law discriminates
against religions and a Muslim community leader has the right to challenge its constitutionality, a federal appeals court said Tuesday.
The court in Denver upheld U.S. District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange's order blocking implementation of the amendment shortly after it
was approved by 70 percent of Oklahoma voters in November 2010.
Muneer Awad, the executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma, sued to block the law from taking
effect, arguing that the Save Our State Amendment violated his First Amendment rights.
The amendment read, in part: "The courts shall not look to the legal precepts of other nations or cultures. Specifically, the courts shall
not consider international law or Sharia law."
Backers argued that the amendment intended to ban all religious laws, that Islamic law was merely named as an example and that it
wasn't meant as a specific attack on Muslims. The court disagreed.
"That argument conflicts with the amendment's plain language, which mentions Sharia law in two places," the appeals court opinion
The court also noted that the backers of the amendment admitted they did not know of any instance when an Oklahoma court applied
Sharia law or used the legal precepts of other countries.
Awad argued that the ban on Islamic law would likely affect every aspect of his life as well as the execution of his will after his death.
The appeals court pointed out that Awad made a "strong showing" of potential harm.
"When the law that voters wish to enact is likely unconstitutional, their interests do not outweigh Mr. Awad's in having his constitutional
rights protected," the court said.
When Clarence Thomas & John Roberts Defended The 7th
Posted by Andrew Cochran
The Seventh Amendment provides that " [i]n Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right
of trial by jury shall be preserved... Accordingly, we must conclude that the Seventh Amendment provides a right to a jury trial where the
copyright owner elects to recover statutory damages... The right to a jury trial includes the right to have a jury determine the amount of
statutory damages, if any, awarded to the copyright owner. It has long been recognized that "by the law the jury are judges of the
damages.'' Lord Townshend v. Hughes, 2 Mod. 150, 151, 86 Eng. Rep. 994, 994-995 (C.P. 1677). Thus in Dimick v. Schiedt, 293 U.S.
474, 55 S.Ct. 296, 79 L.Ed. 603 (1935), the Court stated that "the common law rule as it existed at the time of the adoption of the
Constitution'' was that "in cases where the amount of damages was uncertain[,] their assessment was a matter so peculiarly within the
province of the jury that the Court should not alter it.''
So wrote Justice Clarence Thomas in his opinion for a unanimous Supreme Court, when it ruled in a 1998 copyright infringement
case that the Seventh Amendment requires the right to a jury trial where the copyright owner elects to recover statutory damages. In
Feltner v. Columbia Pictures Television, Inc., the Court overruled the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which had affirmed a district court's
ruling denying Feltner's motion for a jury trial. Justice Thomas' opinion included a discussion of the applicability of the Seventh
Amendment to copyright infringement cases and, in effect, a terrific defense of the right to a civil jury trial and the role of local juries.
Justice Thomas noted that even before adoption of the Constitution, in England and in the American colonies, "copyright suits for
monetary damages were tried in courts of law, and thus before juries." And he wrote that the Copyright Act of 1790 didn't change that
Ironically, the attorney asserting Mr. Feltner's Seventh Amendment rights was John Roberts, now the Chief Justice of the Supreme
Court, and during oral argument before the Court, he eloquently noted the historical role and significance of civil jury rights enumerated
under the Seventh Amendment:
In light of clear historical practice on both sides of the Atlantic prior to 1971, Feltner had a right under the Seventh Amendment to have
a jury make that finding and others on which the award was based and determine the amount of damages to be imposed within the
The idea that... when Congress fixes the amount of the penalty it can therefore delegate that task to judges ignores the whole purpose
of the Seventh Amendment.
The Seventh Amendment is to protect against judicial bias and corruption and overreaching and, while that's not implicated when
Congress fixes the amount because Congress is doing that, the judge is just applying it, when you give that task to the judge the whole
reason for having the Seventh Amendment comes into play...
I was pleasantly surprised to learn of this defense of the Seventh Amendment by Justice Thomas. My thanks to Bob Peck of the Center
for Constitutional Litigation in Washington for pointing it out. Now if only the Roberts Court would only take a realistic view of the
practical and harmful impacts of federal preemption and forced arbitration clauses on our right to a civil jury trial.
Allen West to Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Etc.: ‘Get the Hell Out of
Posted by Jared Law
Allen West is an American hero, and in this case, it has nothing to do with his military service; it has to do with what he's willing to say,
which few outside of our movement have dared to say:
Get the HELL out of the United States of America, Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and asserman-Schultz!!
The fact that a sitting congressman is actually willing to go further than 'liar!' and stand by it, is stunning, it is wonderful. Somebody with
media access needs to say this, and it needs to go viral.
Every one of those Representative West mentioned have chosen, showing by their actions, that they are enemies of every single
American's freedom, and enemies of the Constitution of the United States of America. It's past time somebody said so, and West's
comment is the next best thing!
I suppose it just feels good to see somebody stand up to these arrogant, anti-American Freedom tyrants, and to say something so bold
on a national stage.
Here's the story from The Blaze:
Allen West to Obama, Reid, Pelosi: ‘Get the Hell Out of the
United States of America’
Posted on January 29, 2012 at 7:29am by Madeleine Morgenstern
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) had a strong message Saturday for President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader
Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie
Wasserman Schultz: “Get the hell out.”
West made the comments during a speech at a Palm Beach County GOP event in West Palm Beach.
“This is a battlefield that we must stand upon. And we need to let President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and
my dear friend, chairman of the Democrat National Committee, we need to let them know that Florida ain’t on the
table,” West said.
The audience was booing by the time West got to Pelosi’s name.
“Take your message of equality of achievement, take your message of economic dependency, take your message
of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else,” he continued. “You can
take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the
United States of America.”
As the audience cheered and many rose to their feet, West added, “Yeah I said ‘hell.’”
“This is not about 1 percent or 99 percent. This is about 100 percent. It’s about 100 percent America. And I will not
stand back and watch anyone defame, degrade or destroy that which my father fought for, my older brother, my
father-in-law, myself, my nephew and all my friend still in uniform,” he said.
“I will not allow President Obama to take the United States of America and destroy it. If that means I’m the No. 1
target for the Democrat Party, all I got to say is one thing: Bring it on, baby.”
Rep. Allen West took a lot of heat from the left - and even from those in the Republican Party - for saying that the leftist ideas of
creating economic dependency have no place in the United States. In response to his critics, Allen West had another great line. "The
days of conservatives being punching bags is over," he said. "We have to stand up! We have to stand up on principle!"
There are two things that have become abundantly clear over the past week. First, Allen West is a conservative hero worthy of our
support. We need more leaders like him, not only in Washington, but all across the country. Second, because of bold leadership and
willingness to speak the truth, the left will stop at nothing to defeat Rep. West!
The army of the left, made up of corrupt unions, big-government dependents, and special interests, is committed to tearing down this
hero, and we refuse to let that happen! We've already donated to Rep. West's campaign the maximum allowed under law, and we've
begun to roll out the beginning of our state-of-the-art internet campaign to coordinate and motivate Allen West's allies in the
We are also looking towards the summer and fall, when we plan to unleash a barrage of highly targeted broadcast media to help define

Revealed: Michigan Union Manual Instructs Teachers on How
to Use Children as ‘Propaganda’
Posted by Jared Law
America's teachers unions have proven, with their actions, that they do NOT have the best interests of America's schoolchildren at heart. They have
placed our state capitols under siege, they have ruined untold thousands of schools nationwide and subjected millions of American school children to a
sub-par education, they have endorsed Barack Hussein Obama, they have fought against family values, have promoted Satanic/Marxist Saul Alinsky,
and have even admitted they're in it for the power and money, not for their professed love of teaching.
And now from Michigan, we see yet more evidence proving that they see our kids as 'useful idiots,' who they can exploit to help elect Marxists who they
believe will push the education budget yet higher. Basically, teachers unions see our priceless school children as meal tickets, and nothing more.
Personally, I would like to see all public sector unions abolished, since they represent the narrow, selfish interests of taxpayer-funded employees, and I
would like to see the teachers who actually do a good job, to be given raises, and those who don't, to be fired without years of bureaucratic red tape
holding up the wheels of justice.
And I'd LOVE to see so-called 'administrators' reduced by two-thirds; we have far too many principals leeching off of taxpayers per school. One per
public school, plus no more than two assistants, are plenty, especially for an elementary school. That's all we had in my school growing up, and it was
more than enough.
I suppose I'm just tired of our taxpayer dollars being used against us year after year, election after election. At some point, we must stand up for
ourselves and throw the bums out!
Here's the story from The Blaze:
Revealed: Michigan Union Manual Instructs Teachers on How
to Use Children as ‘Propaganda’
Posted on January 24, 2012 at 4:03pm by Becket Adams
“For more than two years, the Michigan Education Association [MEA] has had a manual that urges its members to use students as
propaganda in contract negotiations and also lays out how to organize strikes,” writes Tome Gantert of Michigan Capitol Confidential.
Considering the fact that teacher strikes are illegal in Michigan, some may find it odd that the MEA has been encouraging this sort of
behavior. In fact, the MEA has done a lot more than just “encourage” potentially illegal activity. As Gantert reports, the organization
produced an anonymously written 28-page manual titled, “Building Full Capacity Locals — Crisis Planning, It’s Never Too Ear...”
While much of the rhetoric in this “crisis planning” handbook is unsettling (”The worst time to plan for a crisis is when you are in the
middle of one, so crisis planning should commence at the same time that planning for actual bargaining begins”), perhaps the most
disturbing moment occurs when one section appears to quote almost verbatim Saul Alinksy’s “Rules For Radicals.”
Alinsky instructs his followers to “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Likewise, the MEA manual instructs teachers
to “Pick a target—personalize—and polarize the opposition [pg. 17].” And those are just the verbatim quotes; the entire manual is a
handbook for creating, managing, and profiting from crises.
Representatives of the MEA were unavailable for comment when The Blaze contacted them for more information.
“What’s really troubling about this publication isn’t what’s inside, it’s right there on the cover. This organization has decided it is above
the law that has empowered them so much in so many other ways,” said Paul Kersey, director of labor policy at the Mackinac Center
for Public Policy, according to the Michigan Capitol Confidential article.
“We have given them the authority to represent employees who individually may not support them, and to collect dues and agency fees
from them and have them fired if they refuse. But the union does not feel it is bound by the law’s prohibition of government strikes,” he
The manual states that the “MEA…supports and defends its members who engage in a strike,” which, again, is illegal in Michigan.
But if an out-and-out strike isn’t your thing, don’t worry! With a variety of passive aggressive protest methods, the manual has you
covered. One of the passive methods suggested by the MEA is “Work-To-Rule” actions where employees refuse to do anything outside
of what is included in their contract.
“Understand that a local is limited only by its collective imagination when it comes to specific work-to-rule actions,” the manual states. “If
you carefully examine your contract you will probably find a number of work-to-rule opportunities. Keep in mind, however, that you don’t
want to violate the contract or past practice; you want to adhere to it … exactly!”
And of course, what union protest would be complete without the exploitation of children in the bargaining process?
“In terms of a bargaining message, the public responds most positively when we talk about children, quality in the classroom and the
future,” the MEA manual states. “There may come a time when it’s appropriate to talk about money and benefits, but lay the
The manual even suggests one slogan that it claims has worked for other locals: “It’s not about dollars and cents; it’s about our

NEWS FLASH -- Offered a stark choice on the illegal immigration issue, Florida Latino Republicans
today broke nearly 2-1 for the candidate with the firmest opposition to amnesty and the strongest
support for enforcement.
Mitt Romney's margin of victory among Latinos was nearly double his margin of victory among Whites.
For those of you who supported other candidates, you have to at least feel some real satisfaction that on the issue of immigration, Mitt
Romney the winner was painted as by-far the strongest opponent of amnesty. You may have preferred another candidate -- including
the President -- for other reasons, but most Florida voters went to the polls with the idea that Romney was indeed the toughest on
Pro-self-deportation Romney won the overall vote by 46% to 32%.
But pro-self-deportaton Romney won the Latino vote by 54% to 29%.
It was a strong rebuke of the majority of media commentators who
insist that Latino-Americans can only be won by promising rewards for
lawbreaking. It added a sign of much greater dignity in the rule of
law for the Latino population than most in the media are willing to
(Read my full analysis blog and join the discussion at: https://www.numbersusa.com/content/node/13013)
Nobody can say that Floridians -- both Latino and non-Latino -- weren't provided a clear choice on the immigration issue. Immigration
may not have been a top issue for most of the voters but it was one of the most publicized parts of the debates and contest.
Newt Gingrich campaigned hard among Latino voters with his continuing call for legalization and work permits for many illegal
aliens and his pounding criticism of his opponent as "anti-immigrant" for opposing legalization.
Mitt Romney in two debates continued his campaign-long opposition to long-term work permits and legalization of illegal aliens
and created a national media sensation by talking about "self-deportation" as the top goal for the illegal population.
Whites -- Anti-legalization Romney won by 13 percentage points
Latinos -- Anti-legalization Romney won by 25 percentage points
The results don't prove that Romney's anti-amnesty stance helped him
with Latinos. But the results DO prove that a candidate can stand for the rule of law and for preferring unemployed American
workers over illegal aliens and still win Latino support.
And that is a wonderful victory of the image of Latino-Americans and
for all of us in our battle to say that unemployed Americans should
have priority over illegal aliens for U.S. jobs.
Tonight's victor, Romney, put the issue in exactly those terms in the
Jacksonville debate last Thursday night. Romney said: "You know, our
problem is not 11 million grandmothers. Our problem is (APPLAUSE) . .
. Our problem is 11 million people getting jobs that many Americans
(and) legal immigrants would like to have."
Although that got one of the most enthusiastic rounds of applause of
the debate, nearly all of the news media refused to offer that quote
to the public. I believe that is because most reporters and editors
in the news media refuse to believe it is possible that Americans and
legal immigrants already here would take the construction, service and manufacturing jobs currently held by illegal aliens.
EXIT POLL'S IMMIGRATION CHOICES SHOW CONTINUING LACK OF UNDERSTANDING
You'll never believe how exit pollsters asked their immigration question.
Read about it here:
For the most part, most in the news media still refuse to treat our
solution of attrition through enforcement (self-deportation) as an
option at all.
The obstinancy of the news media to include this option in opinion polls over the last decade has seriously distorted the public's
understanding of the options available to it on illegal immigration.
And it reminds us of just how incredibly important it is that candidates Romney and Santorum are using their national soapboxes to fight
for the concept.
Can any of this be true and still be covered up?

Obama may have a criminal past…
This is an article written by an ex IRS investigator….very interesting. My question is, Will BO be vetted for the 2012 election?
Trump is correct, Barry Soetoro, AKA Obama is hiding something in his past that is very bad… and it may not be his citizenship. (Trump would not
say this if he did not know something, and he has the money to get the dirt….)
As an IRS tax examiner, one of many former federal jobs, I have seen what it appears Barry Soetoro has done; mostly by illegal aliens attempting to
acquire a new identity in the U.S and/or criminals looking to acquire a new ID.
Barry, AKA Obama, was lawfully adopted by a foreign national, Lolo Soetoro, and Barry’s name was legally changed to “Barry Soetoro”. (Barry’s
own admission) Barry Soetoro was also made an official legal Indonesian citizen. (again Barry’s own admission) The adoption would be noted in
Barry’s vital statistics record in Hawaii on his original birth certificate…OR Lolo Soetoro may have always been Barry’s legal birth farther. The
public does not know for sure at this point who Barry’s father really was and Barry himself may not know.
Barry was raised as a Muslim in Indonesia and attended a Catholic funded school that permitted all faiths to attend.
Barry’s mother dropped him as a dependent for some reason, maybe even when Barry was adopted by Lolo Soetoro. His mother’s passport records
dropped Barry as a dependent indicating Barry was no longer a legal dependent of his mothers. (The passport records of his mother have been
produced showing Barry was no longer a dependent when Barry was permanently residing in Indonesia.) Barry went to Hawaii to live with his
alleged grandparents after Lolo Soetoro and Barry’s mother divorced.
A “certificate of live birth” can have names changed on it including a child’s birth name, and birth parent’s names. Even a modified date of birth can
be on a “certificate of live birth”. This occurs frequently for adopted children where the birth parent does not want the child to know who they are.
The public has no idea who Barry’s real birth father is or who Barry’s real birth mother is. (Barry could have been adopted by his mother) The
original birth certificate is the only legal vital statistics record of a person’s birth parents, birth location, birth date, etc… I can get a “certificate of
live birth” for a dead person; I cannot get a birth certificate of a dead person without “Deceased” on it. (I’ve tried)
There is no evidence Barry Soetoro ever lawfully changed his name to “Barrack Hussein Obama”. There is no proof Barry Soetoro was born with the
name “Barrack Hussein Obama”. I’m willing to bet the name “Barrack Hussein Obama” is not present on the real birth certificate as Barry’s birth
name or as Barry’s birth father. I have pictures of me with my mother and Jimmy Buffet… that doesn’t make him my father even if I start using the
name Jimmy Buffet.
The public knows Barry Soetoro finished high school in Hawaii as Barry Soetoro and attended Occidental as Barry Soetoro where he did drugs and
flunked out of school. After dropping out of Occidental, Barry showed up in New York, homeless and on drugs. (Barry’s own admission) Barry then
hooked up with a Pakistani to live with and traveled back to Indonesia on his new boyfriend’s dime to renew his Indonesian passport and traveled to
Pakistan with him.
Ask any law enforcement officer in a large city or detective and they will tell you homeless young men on drugs in large cities usually end up as male
prostitutes. Barry ended up as a world traveler with a degree… (Not likely)
Barry Soetoro returned to New York from Pakistan and began using the fictitious name “Obama” for some reason. (Again Barry Soetoro’s own
admission) One could only suspect that a person addicted to drugs returning from Pakistan to New York, the main route for Afghan heroin into the
U.S. , maybe Barry had a reason to start using a new name. There are literally over 1 million open warrants on file in New York … maybe Barry is
one of them?
After spending some time in New York allegedly working under the name “Obama”, it appears Barry used the fictitious name “Barrack Hussein
Obama” for the first time to file his federal taxes in Connecticut at a Post Office Box for the purpose of evading paying taxes in New York and /or to
establish a new identity. (This is a felony with no statute of limitation.)
When the IRS received Barry Soetoro’s federal tax filing, the IRS could not attach the name Barrack Hussein Obama to the SSI number provided or
the address provided. So the IRS assigned the fictitious name “Barrack Hussein Obama” a tax ID number for a person from Connecticut (Where
Barry unlawfully filed a federal tax form using a false name). Barry Soetoro began using the tax ID number as his SSI number when using the
fictitious name Barrack Obama. This is why Barry Soetoro has a Connecticut SSI number. When I worked for the IRS, I saw this occur more than
once and yes, it is a felony to knowingly file a fraudulent federal tax forms. Most of the politicians that cheat on their taxes claim it was an accident.
That is how they get away with their tax cheat crimes. Using a fake name is no accident.
It appears Barry fled New York to Chicago using his new identity to get a job. He likely ordered a fake diploma to bolster his new identity as
“Obama”. Fake Diploma’s were very big in the 80′s and diploma mills were even being used by federal workers to get promotions. There is evidence
his alleged attendance at Columbia was faked (Barry never attended Columbia) and Barry lied his way into Harvard (he had no transcripts to get
in)… Including telling the Saudi royal family he was fighting in Afghanistan with the Muslim Jihad against the Russians, so they would help him get
into a law school.
The Saudi’s apparently loved Barry’s story of Jihad in Pakistan/Afghanistan and paid for Barry to attend Harvard under the name “Obama”. The
Saudi family has admitted to paying for Obama to attend Harvard and gave Harvard a gift of $20 million dollars. Harvard in turn made their special
attendee President of the law review; a person that never wrote a single law review…. I guess that is what $20 million buys at Harvard.
It is unlikely Barry was a Jihadist and was most likely a drug mule if anything, maybe even a CIA street hire to haul Afghan heroin back to New
York, so the Afghans could buy U.S. made stinger missiles with U.S. dollars to shoot down Russian helicopters? I hired people overseas to do work
below my pay grade all the time, even foreign nationals. I think this is the story Barry told the Saudi’s, but he was most likely really just a drug
mule/dealer and probably still wanted on an outstanding warrant in New York.
Barry’s selective service registration is not normal either…http://www.debbieschlussel.com/4428/exclusive-did-next-commander-in…
After I looked at Barry’s selective service filing I noticed it was most likely fraudulent too based on the name he used. Barry did not start using the
name “Obama” until he returned from Pakistan (long after he flunked out of school in California) His selective service record (maintained in Chicago
coincidentally) shows he registered at a Hawaiian post office as “Obama” in Sept 1980… Problem: Barry was getting high in California at Occidental
in Sept 1980 (Barry’s own admission) and was not using the fictitious name “Obama” at that time. Barry began using the fictitious name “Obama”
only after he returned from Pakistan. The selective service filing is fraudulent.
NEW NOTE – On the Selective Service Registration, Barry did not have the Connecticut Tax ID number he used on the Registration until after he
began using the name “Obama” in New York. More evidence his Selective Service filing is fraudulent.
Barry returned to Chicago and attend a semi-Christian radical black church with his first female love Michelle. Barry admits keeping in touch with
Phil Boener, who traveled to New York from Occidental to be with Barry, and was most likely Barry’s first love.
Barry still could not get a real job, because he was still a fraud, even with his Harvard degree in hand he could lie and take the Bar exam, but he could
not work as a lawyer for a major law firm without a back ground investigation and he would never pass one. So, Michelle got Barry a job at her law
firm. Barry never filed a case alone and never filed a motion. He wrote most of memos according to the law firm where Barry worked. (I think they
know Barry is a fraud and don’t want to be sued by previous clients) Barry rescinded his law licenses, so as not to be disbarred for fraud. The Bar
knows Barry lied on his application. Michelle also had to turn over her law license for her involvement in corruption with the Chicago mayor’s
With time on his hands Barry, a well spoken black man, was able to get elected to a state office, oddly because he looked for fraud in his opponent’s
voter registrations and got his opponent disqualified from running. Barry a well versed liar was a natural in state politics. He used his political
influence to get himself a position as a lecturer at Chicago’s law school. Barry embellished this position as a “professor of law” which everyone
knows is completely false. Barry was not a professor or even a specialist at anything but lying.
On a whim Barry ran for United States Senate for the State of Illinois. Politicians do this all the time to make a name for them even if they can’t win.
At the time the Republican Ryan was a shoe in for the Senate seat, so no real Democrat contenders entered the race, but Barry did. On a fluke after
the primary Ryan’s wife Jeri Ryan (Seven of nine from Star Trek) went public that her husband was making her have sex with other people while he
watched. Ryan dropped out and Alan Keys moved from Maryland to run against Barry Soetoro.
The election got all kinds of press because there were no blacks in the U.S. Senate and one of these black men was going to be a Senator. Alan Keys
did his best to warn everyone Barry was not who he claimed to be, but the public saw him as a carpet bagger. Barry kept the lie going and presented
himself as a clean black man that talked like a white man… Illinois elected Barry to U.S. Senate. The Democrats had already begun scrubbing
Barry’s back ground when Ryan dropped out.
Phil, Barry’s boy friend from Occidental, was found working in California as a communications specialist (receptionist) for a dental hygienist school
and given a diploma from Columbia and cover story. The rest of Barry’s drug friends were all given jobs or money by the Democrat machine to keep
Because Barry was such a news maker as the only Black in the Senate, and he could speak like a white man he was made key speaker for the
Democrat convention. Barry then decided to run for President to keep the lie going. No one thought to question Barry’s back ground in the Democrat
party… They helped cover up the ugly back ground. The only person jumping up and down warning Barry was not who he claimed to be was Alan
Keys and he was discarded as just an angry loser.
Now we have a complete fraud sitting in the Office of the President. Clearly the most corrupt, inexperienced, and ignorant President in the history of
the United States who’s only quality is that he can lie with a straight face. Barry Soetoro is as much of a fraud as Bernie Madoff, and his house of
cards will soon fall down.
To the thousands of supporters of 1Lt Michael Behenna,
Great news as the Court of Appeals of the Armed Forces (CAAF) has agreed to hear issues in Michael’s case. Specifically the CAAF
will be reviewing the Brady Violation (prosecutors non-disclosure of favorable evidence) and the Military Judge’s faulty self-defense
instruction to the jury. Your many prayers of discernment have been answered and we are so grateful because the CAAF was our last
chance to have Michael’s conviction overturned. It is important to note that the CAAF hears very few cases each year and fortunately
Michael’s case will be one of them.
The time line for the appellate process begins with Michael’s attorney filing a brief on the two focused issues within 30-60 days and then
the Military will respond in roughly the same amount of time. The CAAF can then set oral argument in Washington, DC and a decision
thereafter. It is our hope that we could get a favorable decision by late summer. That seems like a long time, but it is a relatively
compact time frame for an appellate process. I’ve included some media links below if you would like to learn more about the CAAF
acceptance of Michael’s case:
On a much more somber note we received very disappointing news that the Army Clemency Board denied Michael’s annual request for
Clemency (reduction in his sentence). We presented Michael’s case before the Army Clemency and Parole Board on January 5, 2012
in Washington, DC. The Board consisted of three Colonels, an Army lawyer, and an Administrator who had previously served on the
Board. We presented Michael’s case to the Board for over an hour and primarily focused on the disparity of sentencing of Michael’s
case compared to all other unpremeditated military cases occurring in the Iraqi theater and how Michael’s case had morphed from what
the government originally tried as an execution to the current court rulings that Michael lost his right to defend himself.
Part of the duties of the Clemency Board is to create uniformity in disparate sentencing, so we presented seven other war zone
unpremeditated murder cases to the Board to show that Michael’s sentence of 15 years was substantially higher than the other
Soldier’s sentences. The seven other Soldiers cases resulted in sentences ranging from 1-11 years, with an average of 6 years.
Unfortunately, the Board denied any Clemency to Michael and the ONLY suggestion they offered was that Michael in the future should
stay out of trouble in prison. This is such a sham as Michael has been a model prisoner for almost 3 years, is teaching himself Spanish,
and has read several hundred books on philosophy, politics, religion, and current events. Michael is not a threat to anyone and could
easily assimilate into society if he were released.
We plan on writing to the Assistant Secretary of the Army Catherine Mitrano concerning the denial and failure to provide any
constructive plan for what is expected of Michael to receive Clemency. We know that many of you wrote letters to Mitrano in support of
Michael’s Clemency. Please consider drafting a short response to Mitrano expressing displeasure in the Board not granting Clemency
to Michael whose sentence remains significantly higher than cases of a similar nature; and not outlining a plan for Michael to obtain
Clemency in the future. Her address is:
Deputy Assistant Secretary Catherine Mitrano
c/o Army Clemency and Parole Board

So the fight continues for justice for Michael. We are so thankful for all of your prayers and words of support. Michael remains very
positive through all of this and is very focused on making the most of his situation. Please continue to send him your cards and letters
as mail call remains his favorite time of the day!
Yours in the fight for justice,
Scott & Vicki Behenna
It's been a wild ride since that cold and snow February 27th of 2009. On that day some 500 patriots gathered in downtown
Chicago, joined by about 30,000 others across a handful of cities in various other states. We had no idea what would become of our
gathering, but we knew we were upset and we weren't going away.
Six weeks later, on April 15th, 2009, the same type of gathering happened in more than 850 cities nation wide. It was the birth of a
movement that would hold back the radical agenda of the left and put up a fight that could very well save this nation from complete
I shouldn't have to stress the importance of 2012. If you're reading this email, you know full well how vital it is that we win in November.
Of course, it's not just about winning some elections... it's about completely re-shaping the entire battlefield to our advantage.
An area we as a movement have been constantly beat in since 2009 is information warfare. Our political opponents have a deep
pocketed, radical corporate media at their fingertips and they use it to fight us at every turn. We must fight back with our own media,
our own reporting networks, our own messaging arm.
Many of you know we've spent the better part of the past two years putting together the framework to launch our own fully independent
news network. From the political battle of the 2009 recess rallies, to the special election in NY23 and Boston, to the 2010 elections...
our grassroots team has been organizing and communicating with hundreds of thousands of activists nationwide.
We now have VERY good news to report back to you. Last year we partnered with Grassfire, one of the nation's LARGEST
grassroots networks in existence. Grassfire has helped us build a technological framework for our news/media network and we're finally
ready to roll this thing out.
Our next stage requires that we bring more reporting talent to the table, push out more professional content/reporting and make our
information more easily accessible. Grassfire is helping us do this by providing an extremely valuable resource to offer those who will
step up and help us make our move on the leftist media.
We now have about 60,000 daily readers of the Liberty News Report. Our web properties are growing, our social media profiles are
growing and it's time to step up our efforts. We're going to ask you to give us a hand with this effort, and in return we're going to send
you a fantastic resource for the 2012 election cycle.
THE 2012 TEA PARTY SURVIVAL GUIDE
The 2012 Tea Party Survival Guide promises to be one of the greatest resources for tea party activists in 2012. The book contains
key information, strategies, organizing guides and insights. We even put together a superb analysis of the top targeted 2012 Senate
races and included the results in the book.
Grassfire will send you TWO copies of the Tea Party Survival Guide in exchange for any financial contribution you can afford
to make. Whether that's $5, $25, $100 or more, you'll get two of these guidebooks.
Best of all, funds raised through this effort go directly into the fund to develop the Liberty News Network for the tea party movement.
CLICK HERE TO GET YOUR TEA PARTY SURVIVAL GUIDEBOOKS!
You're help in this will be rewarding for years and years to come. We're all in this together, all engaging in our part of the fight and doing
everything we can. If we can defeat this attack on our liberty , and we certainly believe we can, our children and their children will have
a shot at prosperity.
Let's make sure they have that chance. It's our time.
Interview: John Bolton Discusses Why Iran Continues to Defy
John Bolton, former UN ambassador sits with Fred Grandy to analyze and discuss whether the U.S. is safer and more respected
around the world. Is the United States stronger than it was under the last administration? If the U.S. is indeed
stronger and respected nation, why has Iran continuously disregarded the United States’ “no nuclear weapons” warning? Ambassador
Bolton analyzes the consequences of Iran’s threat to shut down the Strait of Hormuz. How will it affect the U.S.? Can the United States
avert this threat?

THE UNION OF PATRIOTS APPLAUDS GOV. BROWNBACK FOR
STANDING UP FOR FAIRNESS FOR KANSAS TAXPAYERS
1/26/2012 - The Union of Patriots released the following statement today regarding Kansas Governor Sam
Brownback's support for the numerous state agency reforms undertaken by the Department of Social and
Rehabilitative Services (SRS) in the year since his administration has overseen the department:
"The Union of Patriots applauds Governor Brownback's support for Kansas taxpayers and his pursuit of the
elimination of fraud, waste, and abuse in SRS.
"Until recently, the State of Kansas, like 47 other states, used a USDA formula called 'proration' that allowed
the children of illegal immigrant families to receive food stamp benefits and other state benefits that were
simultaneously being denied to children of legal citizens, even though they were earning the same
household income. This practice was fundamentally unfair, and needed to be halted. Under Brownback
appointee Rob Siedlecki's leadership, this process was stopped, and to be honest, the institution of a 'no
tolerance' policy regarding long-standing SRS procedures that ran counter to the fundamental doctrine of
'equal treatment under the law' was long overdue.
"In a difficult economy where the state of Kansas is attempting to pay for state services to benefit Kansans
with a shrinking revenue stream, the state needed to stop giving preferential treatment to illegal immigrant
state aid recipients that would not have qualified for the same aid if they were legal, US citizens. We
acknowledge that Governor Brownback has taken a difficult stand on an issue that affects all Kansas
taxpayers, and we thank him for honoring his primary obligation to support and protect the taxpaying legal
residents and citizens of Kansas. "
WHY REPUBLICAN POLITICIANS SELL US OUT
By Publius Huldah
It is a cliché to speak of “spineless Republicans”-google spineless republicans and you will see. They talk “conservative” when they
campaign; but once in office, they go along with the progressive agenda. That agenda is to grow the federal government until it controls
every aspect of our lives.
Why don’t they oppose the progressive agenda?
Rush Limbaugh says they don’t oppose it because they want to be invited to the right parties and praised in the liberal media.
But on this, our Rush is wrong. Rush is a man of Principles; but he doesn’t understand the Constitution. So he doesn’t see that the
spineless ones also don’t understand it; and that their failure to oppose the progressives stems from their lack of any Standard to guide
In other words, the spineless Republicans don’t know what the alternative is to the progressive agenda. They don’t know that Our
Constitution created a Congress with limited and enumerated powers. They don’t know that the President’s powers are “carefully
limited; both in … extent and …duration” They don’t understand that limited civil government is morally superior to a fascist
dictatorship. Since they don’t understand these things, they are buffeted here and there by winds which progressives blow.
Spineless Republicans are “nice.” They are “patriotic.” And that’s it. But they are men of straw because they stand for nothing. They
have no Standard to guide them. So they go with the flow.
There IS a Chart and Compass for Us to Embrace
Which would Make Us Strong & Bold!
Daniel Webster reportedly said:
We may be tossed upon an ocean where we can see no land nor, perhaps, the sun and stars. But there is a chart and a
compass for us to study, to consult, and to obey. The chart is the Constitution.
The Bible, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are the Rock on which Our Country was built. Courage and Strength
arise from faithfulness to Fixed Principles. It is the man with no Principles who is blown here and there by prevailing winds. Strong
People – people who are able to stand alone and speak Truth – are strong because of their uncompromising adherence to Principles.
Anyone who is willing to make the modest effort required to obtain a working knowledge of the Constitution would become able to
stand up to the progressives and defeat them. But we must first root out of ourselves the false notion that our own ideas on what the
federal government should do are “important”! We must learn that in such matters, we must adhere to a Standard - the
Constitution - which transcends our own precious selves with our “views,” “opinions,” and “thoughts.” This is what
Daniel Webster is telling us.
Politicians May Not Substitute Their Personal Views for The Constitution!
This is what our Framers said:
“…whensoever the general government [federal government] assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no
force…” Thomas Jefferson, The Kentucky Resolutions of 1798, 1st Resolution.
“…On every question of construction, carry ourselves back to the time when the constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested
in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one
in which it was passed…” Thomas Jefferson’s letter of June 12, 1823 to William Johnson (6th para from end)
“…the way to have good and safe government, is not to trust it all to one, but to divide it among the many, distributing to every one
exactly the functions he is competent to. Let the national government be entrusted with the defence of the nation, and its foreign and
federal relations; the State governments with the civil rights, laws, police, and administration of what concerns the State generally; the
counties with the local concerns of the counties, and each ward direct the interests within itself. It is by dividing and subdividing these
republics from the great national one down through all its subordinations, until it ends in the administration of every man's farm by
himself; by placing under every one what his own eye may superintend, that all will be done for the best. What has destroyed liberty
and the rights of man in every government which has ever existed under the sun? The generalizing and
concentrating all cares and power into one body…” Thomas Jefferson’s letter of Feb. 2, 1816 to Joseph C. Cabell (1st para).
The Economics Department at George Mason University provides these quotes (among others) on its page, Constitutional
Limitations on Government:
“Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated.” --Thomas Jefferson,
Letter to Albert Gallatin, 1817
“We must confine ourselves to the powers described in the Constitution, and the moment we pass it, we take an arbitrary stride towards
a despotic Government.” -- James Jackson, First Congress, 1st Annals of Congress, 489
“[T]he powers of the federal government are enumerated; it can only operate in certain cases; it has legislative powers on defined and
limited objects, beyond which it cannot extend its jurisdiction.” -- James Madison, Speech in the Virginia Ratifying Convention, June 6,
“The government of the United States is a definite government, confined to specified objects. It is not like state governments, whose
powers are more general. Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government.” -- James Madison, speech in the House of
Representatives, January 10, 1794
"When all government, domestic and foreign, in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the center of all power, it will
render powerless the checks provided of one government on another, and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from
which we separated." --Thomas Jefferson to Charles Hammond,1821.
Do you see? Politicians, judges and officers have NO RIGHT to implement their own ideas of what the federal government should do.
BUT TODAY, EVERYONE DOES WHAT IS RIGHT IN HIS OWN EYES.
Today, it doesn’t occur to us that we must look to the Constitution to see what the federal government is permitted to do. This was
illustrated on Greta van Susteren’s show (Fox News) when she asked her guests whether a legislator should vote his conscience or the
way his constituents tell him to vote.
On December 18, 2009, Dick Morris mentioned that Sen. Ben Nelson (D.) was under pressure from his constituents to oppose the
healthcare bill. Greta (a lawyer) asked Dick whether Nelson was “elected to exercise his judgment as to what is the best thing to do, or
was he elected … to carry out what the voters want.”
Dick answered that if it is an issue “where … the voters are not as … informed as he might be … he might say, I'm going to exercise my
better judgment. But when you're dealing with something as intimate as … health care … when your constituents … are saying … don't
do this, you ought to listen.”
On February 26, 2010, Greta asked Charles Krauthammer whether people we send to Congress should “vote their conscience or ours?”
Krauthammer answered, “that's the great question since Edmund Burke. He thought you should represent your conscience or your
conception of what the national need is.” Krauthammer went on to say that he thinks Obama is “allowed to go ahead” with health care,
and that he respects “the president's right or ability or notion that he needs to act in the national interests as he sees it.”
Do you see? None of them understand that it is a politician’s sworn duty to obey the Constitution regardless of what he
thinks or his constituents want. Van Susteren, Morris and Krauthammer thus display the existentialist mindset: That there is no
objective standard outside of our own subjective “views”; and the one with the power gets to decide for all of us on the basis of his
But that is precisely what Our Constitution was designed to protect us from: individual men imposing their
subjective views on the rest of us. That is why the powers which Our Constitution does grant to the three branches of
the federal government – legislative, executive, and judicial – are strictly limited and defined.
In Federalist No. 78 (5th para from the end), Alexander Hamilton addresses the precise issue raised by van Susteren. After stating
the principle that the people have the right to change the established Constitution, he says:
...yet it is not to be inferred from this principle, that the representatives of the people, whenever a momentary inclination happens to lay
hold of a majority of their constituents, incompatible with the provisions in the existing Constitution, would, on that account, be
justifiable in a violation of those provisions; or that the courts would be under a greater obligation to connive at infractions in this
shape, than when they had proceeded wholly from the cabals of the representative body. Until the people have, by some solemn and
authoritative act, annulled or changed the established form, it is binding upon themselves collectively, as well as individually; and no
presumption, or even knowledge, of their sentiments, can warrant their representatives in a departure from it, prior to such an act...
Five Reasons So Many Grassroots Conservatives Don’t Like
It's a mystery to some people why so many Tea Partiers and grassroots conservatives can’t stand Mitt Romney. What is it about him
that turns them off so much that at one time or another, they've preferred Donald Trump, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Herman Cain,
Rick Santorum, and Newt Gingrich to him nationally despite the fact that he has every advantage in the race? Would Mitt Romney be
better than Barack Obama? Sure, but there are some very good reasons that so many grassroots conservatives still find him to be a
thoroughly unlikable candidate.
1) He's not a conservative. There have been a lot of conservatives who've talked a good game during the primaries and then have let
us down in D.C., but if Mitt Romney becomes the nominee and gets elected, some people seem to be hoping that he'll be the first
Republican moderate to go to D.C. and turn into a fire-breathing conservative. Based on his record, if Mitt Romney is nominated, he will
be the least conservative candidate since Nixon.
Moreover, keep in mind that in 1994, when Mitt Romney was 47 years old, he was telling people that, "I was an independent during the
time of Reagan-Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan-Bush" and the Contract with America was "not a good idea." Eight years later in
2002, when he was 55 years old, Mitt Romney was saying, "I think people recognize that I'm not a partisan Republican, that I'm
someone who is moderate, and that my views are progressive.” Oh, joy! So he was a progressive, like Hillary Clinton! After four
years of governing as a barely right of center moderate and coming up with Romneycare, a piece of signature legislation that any liberal
Democrat would be proud of, Mitt Romney supposedly became a conservative -- precisely at the same moment he started running for
President. What a stunning coincidence!
One of the great ironies of the campaign is that Newt Gingrich has been quite properly dinged for being a good Republican soldier and
endorsing Dede Scozzafava over the Conservative Party's Doug Hoffman and now, a lot of the "good Republican soldiers" are
endorsing a male version of Scozzafava for President over Newt.
2) He doesn't believe in anything politically other than Mitt Romney. What conservative cause has Mitt Romney
ever fought like hell for in his career? There are none. What has Mitt Romney ever done for conservatives in his
career? Nothing of significance...oh wait, I forgot; when he was asked about it in the Florida debate, he noted that
he started a family and a business, which is nice, but probably puts him on par with about half of the people reading
In the last decade alone, Mitt has been against an amendment to stop gay marriage and for an amendment to stop
gay marriage, for cap and trade and against cap and trade, against Bush's tax cuts and for Bush's tax cuts, for
abortion and against abortion, for gun control and against gun control....it goes on and on. Like Arlen Specter,
Romney would feel just as comfortable running as a Democrat or Republican and like Barack Obama, all of Mitt's
promises come with an expiration date. It's almost impossible to know where Romney will be on any issue in six
months, including Obamacare, much less where he'd be after he got elected and settled down inside the Beltway.
How do you get fired up about a guy like that? How do you believe in him the way conservatives believe in guys like
Mitt Romney is a repeat of the same show conservatives have seen over and over again and we all know the ending
if the candidate gets elected. These plastic men, these political Stretch Armstrongs get inside the Beltway Bubble,
the media starts working on them, the establishment starts whispering in their ear and next thing you know, they're
explaining how important comprehensive immigration reform is to the conservative cause or why we need another
Bridge to Nowhere.
When you're a grassroots conservative who has been mocked, ridiculed and attacked for believing in conservatism,
capitalism, and the Constitution, sold out again and again by people in your own party, and told your nation is on the
verge of a debt-driven crisis that could bankrupt us, the last thing you want is to be treated like you're stupid by a
phony Massachusetts moderate who tells you he believes the same things you do when you damn well know he
doesn't mean a word of it.
3) Mitt Romney has benefitted from a tremendous media double standard. Other than Herman Cain, who at
least is a conservative who has worked tirelessly for the Tea Party, Mitt Romney is the single least qualified man
running for office in the Republican field. Yes, Mitt's business experience is a plus, but it didn't help him in
Massachusetts, where he was an awful, unpopular governor whose signature program, Romneycare, has been a
miserable failure. Romney has gotten where he is because he's rich, the establishment is behind him, and much of
the conservative media has been greasing the skids for him.
The double standards have been extraordinary and grating. The other candidates had to bring up Bain Capital
because much of the conservative media wouldn't touch the very issue that Ted Kennedy used to beat Mitt
Romney's brains in back in 1994. Even today, when you try to point out that Mitt's "100,000" jobs created number
is pure vapor, that he made a lot of money off of deals where the taxpayers and the FDIC had to pick up the
tab, or that it looks awful for Mitt to make millions on deals where businesses went under and hundreds of middle
class workers lost their jobs, you're answered with cries of "capitalism" and "free enterprise!" Good luck with that
strategy in the general election if, God help us all, Mitt gets that far.
Furthermore, remember when Newt Gingrich was ahead of Mitt in Iowa, running a positive campaign, and was told
"Politics ain't beanbag" after Mitt creamed him with millions in negative ads? Then remember when those same
people squealed with outrage when Mitt got exactly what he had been dishing out after New Hampshire? We were
told Newt was campaigning like a liberal when he hit Mitt on Bain Capital, but when Mitt ran dishonest ads featuring
Tom Brokaw crowing about a now discredited ethics investigation, the same people were silent. After the last
debate, it was amazing to hear talking heads telling everyone how wonderful Mitt did after Rick Santorum gutted
him like a Christmas turkey on Obamacare and Romney was booed by the audience after he was caught lying
about not having seen an ad that he personally endorsed.
Let's be honest and name some names: Jen Rubin, Charles Krauthammer, George Will, National Review, Fox
News and the Drudge Report among others have been shilling for Mitt Romney and attacking his adversaries during
this primary the way the New York Times will for Barack Obama in the general election. That doesn't make them
RINOS, liberals, part of the establishment or bad people. Reasonable people can reach different conclusions about
which candidate to support. But that being said, these people should realize that as far as a lot of other
conservatives are concerned, they are betting their reputations on Mitt Romney. What they are in effect saying in so
many words is, "Vote for Mitt Romney and we promise you that not only will he get elected, he'll govern
conservatively." Given his record, that's liquidating your house and putting it on a spin of the roulette wheel.
4) Mitt Romney is cozying up to the establishment, not the Tea Party. Never have so many self-interested,
politically-gutless establishment space fillers gathered in one place as on the endorsement list for Mitt Romney. If
Bob Dole, John McCain, Susan Molinari, Lisa Murkowski, Jim Talent, Joe Scarborough, Mel Martinez, Jim Gerlach,
Judd Gregg, Jon Huntsman, John Sununu and Norm Coleman are all lining up behind a candidate in a contested
GOP primary, it's an almost ironclad guarantee that candidate is not going to be worth a bucket of warm spit once
he gets into office. If you want to know why you're seeing so many Tea Partiers lining up behind Newt Gingrich, who
despite his flaws has done more for the conservative cause than any other living politician, it's because they see the
politicians backing Mitt Romney and they're well aware that they're not friends of grassroots conservatives.
It's absolutely unbelievable that after the grassroots helped the GOP have its best year in half a century that we may
end up with a human "SCREW YOU!" to the Tea Party like Mitt Romney as the nominee. Here we have a moderate
establishment-endorsed candidate who supported TARP, is open to more bailouts, came up with the mother of
Obamacare, and he has no bold plans to tackle the deficit -- and this is the guy Tea Partiers are supposed to
support after fighting to beat Republicans like that in primaries during the 2010 election cycle? Why don't we just
drag Robert Bennett out of retirement to run at the top of the ticket?
5) Mitt just isn't likable enough to be a good politician. Mitt Romney comes across like a sort of bizarro-world
combination between John Kerry, Richie Rich, Charlie Crist, and Data from Star Trek. This is what makes the first
part of this Saturday Night Live skit so funny -- Mitt really does come across as that weirdly out of touch with hu-
man emotion sometimes.
He's also an extremely nasty campaigner -- a little like Barney Frank, without the modicum of vicious charm that
endears him to liberals. Want to know why this campaign has been so divisive? That's easy: Mitt Romney embraced
win-at-all-costs character assassination and negative advertising as the primary tactic of his campaign and the other
candidates had to respond to it. Since he's proven too unlikable to be pulled up very much, Mitt's strategy has been
to pull the other candidates down, even if it leads to a mud fight that lessens anyone's chances of winning in a
Additionally, as Mike Huckabee has noted, "[Romney] looks like the guy who fires you, not the guy who hires you" --
and by the way, he does. This, along with the incredibly effective Bain ads that helped sink Mitt in South Carolina
are why he's had to release pictures of himself awkwardly doing laundry -- because his campaign believes it
allows normal human beings to be able to relate to him better. Is that a good sign? That our "super electable" GOP
candidate feels compelled to release pictures of himself standing in front of a washing machine to reassure people
that he's more like them? Of course, it won't work because Mitt Romney may be the first politician I've ever seen
who has the ability to NEVER appear to be completely sincere about anything. Combine that with his campaign's
smug "Megan McCainesque" sense of entitlement and Mitt Romney would be going into the 2012 campaign with a
likability deficit even compared to Barack Obama, who has nauseated the entire country with his radicalism,
incompetence, and Barney the Dinosaur style sloganeering. What it all comes down to is that when people see a
pampered, prissy, fake, spiteful son of a governor who's being served the GOP nomination on a silver platter
because he kissed the right establishment behinds, benefitted from an enormous media double standard, and has
more money than everyone else, well, let's just say that's exactly the sort of person who inspired someone to come
up with the word schadenfreude.

Rep. Paul Ryan Grills Bernanke on Unemployment
"The natural aristocracy I consider as the most precious gift of nature for the instruction, the trusts, and
government of society. And indeed it would have been inconsistent in creation to have formed man for the
social state, and not to have provided virtue and wisdom enough to manage the concerns of the society.
May we not even say that that form of government is the best which provides the most - for a pure
selection of these natural aristoi into the offices of government?" --Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Adams,
"The pyramid of government-and a republican government may well receive that beautiful and
solid form-should be raised to a dignified altitude: but its foundations must, of consequence,
be broad, and strong, and deep. The authority, the interests, and the affections of the people
at large are the only foundation, on which a superstructure proposed to be at once durable
and magnificent, can be rationally erected." --James Wilson
"A good government implies two things; first, fidelity to the objects of the government;
secondly, a knowledge of the means, by which those objects can be best attained." --Joseph
Story, Commentaries on the Constitution, 1833
"The freedom and happiness of man ... [are] the sole objects of all legitimate government." --
Thomas Jefferson, letter to Thaddeus Kosciusko, 1810
"This I hope will be the age of experiments in government, and that their basis will be founded
in principles of honesty, not of mere force." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Adams, 1796
"Men, to act with vigour and effect, must have time to mature measures, and judgment and
experience, as to the best method of applying them. They must not be hurried on to their
conclusions by the passions, or the fears of the multitude. They must deliberate, as well as
resolve." --Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution, 1833
"It may be considered as an objection inherent in the principle, that as every appeal to the
people would carry an implication of some defect in the government, frequent appeals would
in great measure deprive the government of that veneration which time bestows on every
thing, and without which perhaps the wisest and freest governments would not possess the
requisite stability." --James Madison, Federalist No. 49, 1788
"If there is a form of government, then, whose principle and foundation is virtue, will not every sober man
acknowledge it better calculated to promote the general happiness than any other form?" --John Adams,
Thoughts on Government, 1776
"If our country, when pressed with wrongs at the point of the bayonet, had been governed by
its heads instead of its hearts, where should we have been now? Hanging on a gallows as
high as Haman's." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Maria Cosway, 1786
"Wisely, therefore, do they consider union and a good national government as necessary to
put and keep them in such a situation as, instead of inviting war, will tend to repress and
discourage it. That situation consists in the best possible state of defense, and necessarily
depends on the government, the arms, and the resources of the country." --John Jay,
Federalist No. 4
"The diversity in the faculties of men from which the rights of property originate, is not less an
insuperable obstacle to a uniformity of interests. The protection of these faculties is the first
object of government." --James Madison, Federalist No. 10, 1787
"[I]t is the reason alone, of the public, that ought to control and regulate the government." --
James Madison, Federalist No. 49, 1788
"Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and
happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family,
or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and
indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same,
when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." --John Adams, Thoughts
on Government, 1776
"How much more do they deserve our reverence and praise, whose lives are devoted to the
formation of institutions, which, when they and their children are mingled in the common dust,
may continue to cherish the principles and the practice of liberty in perpetual freshness and
vigour." --Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution, 1833
"The essence of Government is power; and power, lodged as it must be in human hands, will ever be liable
to abuse." --James Madison, speech in the Virginia constitutional convention, 1829
"History by apprising [citizens] of the past will enable them to judge of the future; it will avail
them of the experience of other times and other nations; it will qualify them as judges of the
actions and designs of men; it will enable them to know ambition under every disguise it may
assume; and knowing it, to defeat its views." --Thomas Jefferson, Notes on the State of
Virginia, Query 14, 1781
"Every child in America should be acquainted with his own country. He should read books that furnish him
with ideas that will be useful to him in life and practice. As soon as he opens his lips, he should rehearse the
history of his own country." --Noah Webster, On the Education of Youth in America, 1788
"Without wishing to damp the ardor of curiosity or influence the freedom of inquiry, I will
hazard a prediction that, after the most industrious and impartial researchers, the longest liver
of you all will find no principles, institutions or systems of education more fit in general to be
transmitted to your posterity than those you have received from your ancestors." --John
Adams, letter to the young men of the Philadelphia, 1798
"History will also give occasion to expatiate on the advantage of civil orders and
constitutions, how men and their properties are protected by joining in societies and
establishing government; their industry encouraged and rewarded, arts invented, and life
made more comfortable: The advantages of liberty, mischiefs of licentiousness, benefits
arising from good laws and a due execution of justice. Thus may the first principles of sound
politics be fixed in the minds of youth." --Benjamin Franklin, Proposals Relating to the
Education of Youth in Pennsylvania, 1749
History affords us many instances of the ruin of states, by the prosecution of measures ill suited to the
temper and genius of their people. The ordaining of laws in favor of one part of the nation, to the prejudice
and oppression of another, is certainly the most erroneous and mistaken policy. An equal dispensation of
protection, rights, privileges, and advantages, is what every part is entitled to, and ought to enjoy... These
measures never fail to create great and violent jealousies and animosities between the people favored and
the people oppressed; whence a total separation of affections, interests, political obligations, and all
manner of connections, by which the whole state is weakened." --Benjamin Franklin, Emblematical
"A morsel of genuine history is a thing so rare as to be always valuable." --Thomas Jefferson,
letter to John Adams, 1817
"If it be asked what is to restrain the House of Representatives from making legal
discriminations in favor of themselves and a particular class of the society? I
answer, the genius of the whole system, the nature of just and constitutional
laws, and above all the vigilant and manly spirit which actuates the people of
America, a spirit which nourishes freedom, and in return is nourished by it." --
James Madison, Federalist No. 57, 1788
"The house of representatives ... can make no law which will not have its full
operation on themselves and their friends, as well as the great mass of society.
This has always been deemed one of the strongest bonds by which human
policy can connect the rulers and the people together. It creates between them
that communion of interest, and sympathy of sentiments, of which few
governments have furnished examples; but without which every government
degenerates into tyranny." --James Madison, Federalist No. 57, 1788
"Such will be the relation between the House of Representatives and their
constituents. Duty gratitude, interest, ambition itself, are the cords by which they
will be bound to fidelity and sympathy with the great mass of the people." --
James Madison, Federalist No. 57, 1788
"In reality there is perhaps no one of our natural passions so hard to subdue as pride.
Disguise it, struggle with it, beat it down, stifle it, mortify it as much as one pleases, it is still
alive, and will now and then peek out and show itself." --Benjamin Franklin, Autobiography,
There is a certain enthusiasm in liberty, that makes human nature rise above itself, in acts of bravery and
heroism." --Alexander Hamilton, The Farmer Refuted, 1775
"Ambition must be made to counteract ambition. The interest of the man must be connected
with the constitutional rights of the place. It may be a reflection on human nature that such
devices should be necessary to control the abuses of government. What is government itself
but the greatest of all reflections on human nature?" --James Madison, Federalist No. 51, 1788
Barack Obama is the most virulent anti-family, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual marriage president in our nation's history.
Shortly after his liberal regime took control of Washington, the Obama Administration declared war on our religious liberties and faith
communities. President Obama has emerged as the cheerleader-in-chief for the homosexual lobby's anti-family, anti-religious
agenda and unless we send a conservative candidate with a long track record to Washington, you can expect more of the same.
I've spent my entire life defending the family against the radical feminist, anti-family, anti-marriage agenda. I've worked to
defeat the Equal Rights Amendment, pass Proposition 8 in California, and keep Planned Parenthood's sexually promiscuous
agenda out of our children's schools. What Barack Obama is doing—from abandoning the Defense of Marriage Act to requiring
health care providers to cover contraception, from the birth control pill to abortion—is an all-out assault against religious liberties,
church-going Americans that believe marriage is ordained of God between a man and a woman, and the sanctity of Life. It cannot
Over the last 3 years, Obama has aided and abetted the radical homosexual "marriage" and anti-family, anti-Life lobby at every turn.
Last summer, as he entered re-election mode, he publicly announced his intent to repeal the national Defense of Marriage Act. Now he
is working overtime to force homosexual marriage on everyone as he panders to his liberal base and campaign contributors from the
"gay marriage" lobby. He is bowing down to the intimidation of radical feminists such as Barbara Boxer and Nancy Pelosi. But
I'm not intimidated. When a conservative woman walks into the room, it neutralizes their argument and yes, we are their worst
The time to stop Obama's radical, anti-family, anti-Life, anti-faith agenda is here, and it's our only chance. We must elect a
strong conservative who is unafraid to do whatever it takes to ensure marriage remains between one man and one woman. I am that
candidate, and I have the track record to prove it.
I will not sit back and watch Obama's destructive, radical agenda become law. But I urgently need your support to bring this fight to
