What is a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)?
 Statutory consultation
      Police/Fire Brigade/SAS
      Bus operators
      Freight and Road Haulage Associations
      Discretionary informal consultation – exhibitions,
       letters etc
 Public deposit
    Draft TRO’s for inspection
    Minimum 21 day objection period
    Objections considered and reported on
 Making of Orders
    Council decide to proceed or not
    May decide on public hearing before final decision


What is the process?
 Parliamentary process (e.g. Tram)
     60 Day consultation period
