									Sample copyright permission letter

Authors are personally responsible for obtaining permission to copy substantial
portions of copyright material used in the SLEID journal. The following sample email
request is provided to assist authors in obtaining permission. Permission must be
obtained before papers can be accepted for publication. Where possible, permission
letters should accompany the copy submitted for review.




Subject: Permission to reproduce a copyright material

Dear Sir/Madam,

I request permission to use copyright material from your publication [insert full
reference details of the publication here, including the ISBN or ISSN if possible].

The material I wish to use is as follows:
    [ describe the material in detail, showing page numbers, initial … and final
      phrases in the quoted material, figure or table identifiers, etc.]
    [if more than one element from the copyright work is required, list details of
      each element for which permission to copy is sought.]

I intend to use this copyright material in my work for submission to the e-journal,
Studies in Learning Evaluation, Innovation and Development, that is published by the
Learning Evaluation, Innovation and Development Centre, Division of Teaching and
Learning Services, Central Queensland University, Rockhampton, Queensland,
