OVERVIEW

machinery, to restoring her interior to her original Feadship style. A truly beautiful

ACCOMMODATIONS
Three staterooms for the owners party with ensuite baths.
The main deck offers a large aft deck with L-shaped seating and dining table for 10,
wet bar with icemaker, refrigerator and storage. The cockpit is accessed from the
port side. The salon is traditional with access to the accommodations to starboard,
along with the entertainment equipment. To port are comfortable sofas, chairs and
a coffee table. Adjacent to the salon is an office/den area, open to the salon.
Continuing forward, access to the pilothouse is from two steps in the passage way.
Just forward is the galley and formal dining salon.
Crew quarters are located on the lower deck, forward and consist of one private
captain's stateroom with ensuite head, a second private stateroom with upper and
lower berths and a large four berth cabin. Both these staterooms share a separate
head and stall shower. The large crew mess is suitable for 7 people.
Owner and guest accommodations are accessed off the salon. The master
stateroom is amid ships, full beam and offers a king bed, walk-in closet and large
ensuite bath. Two identical guest staterooms are aft, both with side by side lower
berths as well as ensuite head.
CONSTRUCTION
Steel hull with teak decks. A complete photographic summary of the framing, tank
and hull plating is available for parties with serious interest. In brief however, the
majority of the frames, all the tanks, and a substantial portion of the plating has

been replaced. Basically as a general guide this would include; all tanks, 90% of the
frames and 90% of the hull plating.
ENGINE DETAILS:
Twin Caterpillar 3196 660 HP, on soft mounts installed new in October 2004.

ELECTRICAL:
New electrical distribution panels for both AC and DC sides. Avast majority of wiring
has been replaced. Two new Isuzu 45 KW 3 phase generators were installed in
October 2004. These generator sets can be used individually or they can be
paralleded.
Shore power system consists of single phase shore cables, one for the air
conditioning system and one for the ships systems. Originally designed for three
phase operation, there is a three phase inlet on the port side of the engine room
with 1.5KVA Acme boost transormers, which feed three GE 15KVA isolation
transformers. Phase converter transformer 50mHz to 60mHz.
Air conditioning: Chilled water Marine Air system with reverse cycle, with a cooling
capacity of 192,000 BTU's or 16 tons, consisting of four racked compressors in the
engine room. Air handlers are Marine Air units with three-way bypass valves and
Hydronics digital controls.

Feadships being Dutch Built are considered among the world's very best built
yachts. Renowned for its engineering, sea keeping qualities, elegance and timeless

INTREPID, chrisened as "PROSIT" began construction in December 1967 taking two
years before its launch in 1969, assuring that no detail would go unnoticed. Details
and photos of her launching appear in the book; "The Feadship Story, Experience
Counts", published in 1999. INTREPID was one of the first private yachts to cross
the Atlantic under her own power.
After her purchase in 2004 in San Diego, the yacht was brought down through the
Panama Canal, first to Mexico and later to Florida, for a complete overhaul. A 4,000
plus mile journey. Having many years of experience in yachting, and having
previously owned and refitted three (3) classic Feadships, "Santa Maria 108', Euskal
108', and Najade 92', I can say with confidence INTREPID is one of the finest!
INTREPID is primarily a "family boat", amidst is subtle elegance, a harmonious,
friendly feeling emanates throughout. She sleeps up to 9 people in the owner's
party and 6 crew.

BROKER COMMENTS
INTREPID" has recently completed a huge major refit under the supervision of a
Belgian Shipwirght. The refit included virtually every aspect of the yacht including;
hull plating and frames, new tanks, restoration of the interior to her original
Feadship glory and of course new machinery, pumps, motors and generators. The
additon of new engines allow her a faster crusing speed of 13 knots, but with an
amazing economy of 22 GPH including Generator! A rare opportunity in a world of
look alike yachts, yet one that you may still put your personal mark on!
After all, a Feadship is a Feadship!
