Accommodations
“Calypso” is a 101’ classic, raised-pilothouse Feadship long range cruising yacht
that was built to exacting standards and maintained by an experienced owner and
crew.
“Calypso” features a high gloss varnished teak interior, with maple used in the
staterooms, and marble and granite in the baths. The yacht has full walk-around
decks, a large aft deck with access to the cockpit and platform, and a very large
flybridge with plenty of seating in the sun or under the aft large Bimini. The warm
but spacious salon offers excellent visibility through windows that span the length
of the room. The large, formal dining room that comfortably seats 8 also offers a
panoramic view of the sea. Three spacious staterooms, each with private ensuite
head and shower, provide luxurious accommodations for six. Crew’s quarters for
four, forward in the yacht, include a separate captain’s cabin.
Salon
The spacious salon is flooded with natural light through windows that extend the
length of the room and solid-panel, accordion glass French doors that lead to the
aft deck. High-gloss teak custom cabinetry below the windows provides a custom
TV cabinet, dry bar with refrigerator, and beautiful storage credenzas. Teak beams
set off by soft white panels highlight the ceiling of the warm and elegant room,
which is perfectly synchronized with the decor in naturals and whites.
Dining Salon
Located forward on the main level, the formal dining salon is separated from the
salon by the galley and offers a bright, panoramic view. Teak cabinetry, low on all
four bulkheads, incorporates a formal buffet and copious storage including a
substantial wine locker. The area also is very suitable for a boardroom.
Galley
The galley, located just aft of and on the same level as the dining salon, is located
forward and down three steps from the pilothouse. It is furnished with all-

Master Stateroom
The full-beam master stateroom, situated amidship, is furnished with king bed,
loveseat, custom built entertainment center with TV, AM/FM stereo and CD player,
and custom built-ins both port and starboard that offer copious storage along with
that provided beneath the berth. Bulkheads are fashioned of high-gloss maple with
teak trim and his/hers hanging lockers are fully cedar-lined.
Guest Staterooms
Located just aft of the owner’s stateroom, port and starboard, are corresponding
guest staterooms fitted with beautiful bulkheads of maple with teak trim, twin
beds, and cedar-lined hanging lockers. Each stateroom is completed with an
ensuite head and shower furnished with marble counters and floor and abundant
mirroring, creating a spacious feel. Each stateroom has generous closets and
drawer space, separate air conditioning controls, and indirect lighting.
Crew's Quarters
The crew’s quarters, forward below, are completely separate and offer
accommodations for four (one double, two single berths), a captain’s cabin, one
full bath, a lounge with large built-in dinette and entertainment center, and ample
storage. Appliances included a Miele washer/dryer and a huge deep freeze for
extended cruising and counters are of Corian.
Pilot House
The pilothouse, finished in high-gloss teak, is complete with full instrumentation
and offers an excellent view. The custom electronics pod just over the helm station
includes a stainless and mahogany destroyer wheel. Adjacent is bench seating for
three below a beautiful built-in wall unit designed for navigational and office

equipment and supplies. A full ship’s diagnostic alarm system is located to port
behind the helm station. The day head, fitted beautifully with marble and mirrors,
is starboard between the pilothouse and salon, convenient to the entire main deck.

Aft Deck
The design of the salon ceiling extends to the aft deck and completely covers the al
fresco area which offers great versatility of use with sliding glass windows port and
starboard and drop down isinglass curtains aft. A very spacious, fully air-
conditioned area perfect for enjoying the sea environment in any weather, it is
furnished with teak decks, a solid teak dining table and chairs, a flat screen TV,
and ample additional seating.
Cockpit
The cockpit, entered from the aft deck by a centerline staircase, was added in
1994 by Bradford Marine, working from plans by Fritz de Voogt of Feadship. A

transom door on centerline allows ease of access for all water sports. Beneath the
cockpit, there is a huge storage lazarette. A starboard-side water-tight door opens
to a very large walk-in storage compartment under the aft deck, housing many of
the ship’s spares. A new commercial ice machine and dive compressor were added
in 2007.
Flybridge
The expansive fly bridge offers a shaded full-instrumentation helm with dual helm
chairs, a full-size gas BBQ grill, complete seating for eight under the Bimini (aft),
and a large open-air deck area for relaxing or entertaining under the sun. Mounts
for the 18’ Nautica RIB tender are port and starboard.

Mechanical Equipment
Twin 460-hp D343TA Caterpillar diesels with walker air seps. Stainless flex-
mounted exhaust system. Shafts, bearings, and props were reconditioned in 1999.
The stub shafts were replaced to accommodate a new, more easily serviced drive
saver and the oil bath block bearings were scrapped in favor of the quieter split
roller bearings. All surfaces were machined or replaced. Both digital and dip tape
back ups are fixed on all tanks, along with Gem stainless steel switches on all
sump and black water tanks.
