AUDACIOUS
A beautiful, classic aft raised Pilothouse Expedition yacht, originally built by Inace in
2003. Â Modified in 2007 by Inace with a bulbous bow, helicopter reinforced deck
and a 5 foot stern extension with hydraulic passelle. In late 2008 through 2009 her
new knowledgeable owner and Captain totally refit the yacht from top to bottom.
She now features four staterooms, plus crew, complete Awlgrip, and virtually every
area of the yacht reworked without regard to cost. Simply magnificent.

DECKS:
Main Deck:
A large, spacious aft deck with beautiful teak table and dining for eight. On the
port side of the dining area are stairs leading to the swim platform, while on
starboard is access to the Hydraulic Passelle.
Upon entering from the aft deck, through double steel doors is the main Salon,
which features a large L shaped settees on both port and starboard, with the port
featuring a mahogany high low table for dining.
On starboard, forward of the settee is a large comfortable chair and a full
entertainment center with new flat screen TV retracting into the cabinet surface.
New soft goods including cushions and carpet 4/2011.
The Galley is open to the salon, located on the port side and offers a counter with
four chairs and dark marble counter top. The entire galley is well thought-out,
spacious with tremendous storage and work space. Brazilian granite counters
through-out.

Pilothouse Deck
Forward on this deck is the delightful Pilothouse, offering a panoramic view, with
full Portuguese walk around bridge. State of the art navigations systems,
instrumentation and two custom air suspension chairs occupy the forward section of
the pilothouse, with a large U-shaped settee on the port side aft. Tremendous
storage, great access to wiring and systems, and aluminum doors port and
starboard offer access to the exterior. Wing control is offered by a Kobelt with
SPA 10590 remote control with fittings both port and starboard.
Aft from the Pilothouse, the original skylounge has been converted to a Master
Stateroom, with island King berth, entertainment, closets and desk all done in
Brazilian mahogany and granite.The panoramic view is stunning and a private aft
deck is just thru large aluminum (mahogany trimmed) door.
Accommodations Deck:
Accessed from the mahogany staircase off the main deck, the guest
accommodations are in the center of the yacht offering a quiet and comfortable
location even at sea.Exiting the stairs, on port is a queen bed stateroom with
ensuite bath and stall shower, and on starboard is a side by side twin lower bed
stateroom, also with ensuite bath and stall shower.
A water tight bulkhead is just forward of these two staterooms. In the area that
was originally the master stateroom, a fourth stateroom, (currently used by the
Captain), with double berth, while opposite is the original master bath, serving this
stateroom.
The balance of the original master stateroom has been converted to a well finished,
air conditioned, cargo/water toys hold for the owner’s motorcycles, and also can
double as a full exercise room. This area is capable of holding 6 motorcycles of
various sizes.
Double hydraulic butterfly aluminum doors open to an 8’ by 12’ opening for crane
access.
Flybridge Deck:
A large U shaped seating area with table can easily accommodate eight (8). The
navigation area is forward with full electronics, instrumentation and two Stidd
chairs. Aft of the lounge seating, a stainless steel BBQ resides with storage, full

wet bar with hot and cold water, refrigerator, and icemaker.
The aft portion of the flybridge is a helicopter landing pad, with lights, tie downs
and fold down safety rails, suitable for a small helicopter such as a Robertson. It
should be noted, the present owner has never had a helicopter aboard and if one is
intending to use this as a helicopter deck the builder and architect/engineer should
be consulted to verify the size capability.
Forepeak Deck Forward:
This area contains the ship’s crane, crow’s nest, while below in the interior are two
crew cabins with shared bath.Crew quarters feature a small crew lounge with
dinette, TV, microwave, sink and toaster oven, and two private staterooms each
with an ensuite head with stall shower. The cargo hold with its hydraulic doors is
just aft, as is the 15’ Nautica tender.
Bose music system through-out the yacht controlled both from a central location
and in each individual area. Samsung flat screen TV with Bose Theater surrounds
sound.
CONSTRUCTION:
Hull of welded steel with aluminum superstructure. All welds ground smooth and
faired. Entire construction supervised by Patton Marine for the original owner, and
re-inspected since.
Awlgrip paint to the highest standards at Knight and Carver in San Diego by R&L
Painters, with 3 full coats of primer and 3 full top coats. January 2009.
ELECTRICAL:
Two (2) Kilo Pak 27 KW @ 1800 rpm, 120/240 single phase; double mount system.
Fiberglass sound shields. Port 7100 hours and starboard 8100 hours, 4/2011
240/115-volt electrical system. sixty (60) cycle, single (1) phase. Ground fault
interrupters (GFI's) are installed for all systems near water sources, including
heads, galley, and laundry.12 VDC emergency lighting thru-out.
The vessel is equipped to receive shore power from (1) 50-amp source and (1)
100-amp source Shore power # 1 and # 2. Each have an isolation transformer that

shall each feed to the main panel , there are to be two (2) power cables, each cable
to be 100' in length with GLENDENING cable systems (2).
Batteries:
House: Two (2) banks of 24-volt batteries (2 -8D marine grade, 12 volt in series),
with dictated Sentry charger
Generators: Two (2) marine grade 12-volt batteries, for each generator with
Paralleling capability.
Electronics: Two (2) 4D marine grade 12-volt batteries, wired in parallel. A 12 VDC
distribution panel in the Pilot House for the electronics, navigation lighting, and Pilot
House lighting. Separate two (2) 8D marine grade12-volt batteries wired in series
(24 volt) for electronics on Flybridge.
Inverter: Xantrex/Trace inverter w/link 1000l battery monitor and 8-8d gel cell
marine batteries is installed, the inverter feeds refrigerators, TVs and other selected
systems and plugs through-out the boat and will support basic systems for at least
8 hours.
TANKS:
Fuel: 9100 gallons in a total of (5) tanks, two (2) main tanks (each 3650
gals approx.), two(2) forward tanks one (each 650 gals) , (1) day tank (511 gals
approx.). The fuel transfer system enables transfer of fuel from tank to tank. Alfa-
Laval fuel polishing system. Fuel pumping station with 50’ hose to allow transfer
of diesel fuel to another vessel.
Water: 2000 gallons in 2 tanks,(2) 800 gpd Village marine watermaker. The
pressure sets take water from the potable water tanks, discharge through (2)
Aqua-Pure drinking water filters. UV sterilizing filter installed (3) 220 VAC 50 gal
water heater, all with pressure relief valve. Potable water piping is PVC. Hot water
piping is insulated.
Waste water:
Grey water-400 Gallons in 1 tank; Black water-400 Gallons in 1 tank

black water tank. Sewage Discharge manually controlled, piped to an overboard
discharge and to a separate 1-1/2" IPS shore facility discharge line. The backwater
tank has a built in fresh water flushing pipe to facilitate tank upkeep.
All lavatories, showers, and tubs gravity discharge into a mid-ships gray water
tank. Sinks that are fitted with garbage disposal units discharge directly overboard.
Lube and waste oil tanks: 120 gallon clean lube oil tank, 120 gallon dirty oil tank.
The tanks are integral to the inner bottom in the engine room. The system includes
a transfer pump and valve manifold capable of drawing the dirty oil from the main
engines and generators and pumping to the dirty oil tank as well as drawing the
clean oil from the lube oil tank and filling the main engines and generators.
Gas: 90 gallon gas tank located in swim platform with fuel station.
BILGE and FIRE SYSTEMS:
Bilge suctions are provided in each watertight compartment with bronze foot
valves, leading to a 1 ½" galvanized bilge manifold, located in the engine room. 2x
Jacuzzi Type, 1 1/2 hp, 1 phase, 115/240 VAC sealed motor take suction from the
bilge manifold. A crossover valve is installed between the bilge manifold and fire
manifold enabling bilge and fire pumps to backup each other. The bilge system
includes an audible and visual 24-volt alarm system located in the pilothouse. The
system is activated by float switches located immediately adjacent to the bilge
suction line in each watertight compartment.
The foot valves on the bilge pick-ups in each compartment are PVC 24V Rule bilge
pump system is also installed in the vessel in each of the watertight compartments.
The fire system piping is copper.
CO2 Fire Extinguishing System is installed in the engine room with a manual control
located outside the engine room. An audible and visual alarm is located in the
Engine Room and Pilot House. Fire standpipes with hose and nozzle are located in
the engine room, and amid-ships both port and starboard.

anchor is a 440 pound CQR type anchor and the side is 550 pound navy style
anchor. Both windlass removed, service and re-plated, anchor re-galvanized
(2010)

EXCLUSIONS:
The name AUDACIOUS is reserved. Owner and Captains personal effects, tools,
art work and personal navigation tools are excluded from the sale. A complete,
though minor list will be supplied upon inspection of the yacht.
COMMENTS:
Rarely does one find an aft Pilothouse configured Expedition Yacht of a size that can
be managed by an owner operator or small crew. It is almost impossible to find
one in truly turn key condition, having benefited from both a knowledgeable owner
and a decitated Captain and crew. AUDACIOUS is in such a state that ocean
crossings or coastal exploration are immediately available to delight any owner.
She has been tested in World travels and has always preformed above
expectations.
