					Food Preservation

When your garden or Farmer’s Market overflows with red tomatoes or
green beans, preserve this bounty to enjoy year round. Canning,
freezing and drying are three main methods of preserving food. There
are two safe ways of home canning, the boiling water canning method
or pressure canning. All vegetables, except tomatoes must be pressure
canned. For safe food preservation, contact your University of
Wyoming county Extension Nutrition and Food Safety Educator, for
Living Well in Wyoming.
