Describe and justify proposed changes to degree program:
AA degree with more than 66 semester credit hours. Need to delete a course to be in compliance with 

maximum number of hours. The additional Social/Behavioral Science Elective listed with the fourth 

semester courses is not a core course and can be deleted.

May affect number of students enrolled in course since nursing has over 1600 declared majors. Because
we have selective admission, students may take this course as well as others towards the AA transfer plan
that they feel may help them prepare while they are awaiting admission to the AAS degree in nursing.
Have notified Dr. Olson, Social Science Department Chairperson, of this and what we believe may be a
minimal impact on enrollment in this course offering.
