• HACC pre-clinical and clinical nursing students may register for up to two nursing electives at Penn State Harrisburg while still
pursuing an associate degree education. Students intending to pursue the NURN program need six credits of nursing electives.
These courses are generally available three times a year on a variety of different schedules to accommodate students. Topics
vary each semester, but may include NURS 409: Forensic Nursing, NURS 402: Holistic Health, NURS 464: Death and Dying,
and NURS 407: Drugs of Abuse to name a few.
• Students have the ability through portfolio/verification to earn up to 33 Penn State credits toward completion of the NURN
• General education and nursing classes required for the NURN program are currently offered at Penn State Harrisburg, Hershey
Medical Center, and Holy Spirit Hospital.
