									                    Will of Ann Wood of Meir, 12th May 1746

       In the name of God Amen I Ann Wood of Mier in the Parrish of Caverswall &
       County of Stafford Widew being weak in Body but of Perfect mind memory &
       Understanding (Blessed be God) do this twelveth Day of May In the Year of
       Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & forty Six make & Publish this my
       last Will & Testament in manner following (Viz) Imprimis I give my Soul into
       the hands of him that gave it & my Body to the Earth to be Buryed Decently
       att the Descression of my Executors hereafter named
Item   I give to Elizabeth Walklate wife of Thomas Walklate & her two Children the
       Sum of twelve Pound ten Shillings.
Item   I give to Joseph Wood of Mier the Sum of five pounds.
Item   I give to Elizabeth Wood the Wife of Joseph Wood five Pounds.
Item   I give to Margaret Wood Daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth Wood the Sum of
       two Pound ten Shilling.
Item   I give to Thomas Heath Son of Joseph & Elizabeth Heath the Sum of two
       Pound ten Shillings.
Item   I give to Ann Corne my neece the Sum of five Pounds
Item    I give to my Nephew John Cornes Children two Pound ten Shillings Each of
       them.
Item   I give to the Children of my neece Jane Tymes the Sum of two Pound ten
       Shillings Each of them
Item   I give to Elizabeth the wife of Joseph Heath my Bedstocks and Hangings.
Item   I give to Mary Simns of Blythe Marsh one Pound one Shilling
Item   I give to John Wood of Uttoxeter the Sum of two Pound two Shillings And
       Lastly I nominate & appoint Joseph Wood of Mier aforesaid & Thomas
       Walklate of Handley Hays in the Parrish of Stoke upon Trent Executors of this
       my Last will & Testament Hoping they will in all things perform according to
       my true intent and meaning and for their Pains, herein I give to Each of them
       the Sum of two Pound two Shillings In wittness I the said Ann Wood havetothis
       my Last Will & Testament Set my Hand and seal the Day & year above
       written hereby Revoaking all other
       Will or Wills by me heretofore made
