Removing Blackheads From Nose – Options For Blackhead Treatment At Home
Today you are going to learn all about removing blackheads from your nose. Now we all
know that blackheads are the equally unsightly (and irritating) cousin of pimples, but there
is far less information out there about how you can treat them. In this article you are going
to learn a few different options for blackhead treatment at home that are very easy and
Exfoliating is probably one of the most popular ways of removing blackheads from the
nose. It involves gently scrubbing away the layers of dead skin, oil, and dirt, which can
build up and lead to blackheads. Exfoliation is just a
more 'crude' form of micro dermabrasion, but it is still
very effective when done properly.
You will need to buy a good exfoliant product that is
neither too harsh, nor too weak to be effective. I highly
recommend that you try Neutrogena's 'Acne Stress
Control' exfoliant scrub. It leaves a pleasant cooling
sensation on the skin and is a great blackhead
treatment. It contains a mild concentration of salicylic
acid too, which helps to keep both blackheads and
pimples at bay.
You should exfoliate at least 3 times a week if you are prone to blackheads. However, too
much exfoliation can lead to worsening skin, so make sure that you don't overdo it. If you
notice any signs of skin irritation, then reduce the amount of exfoliation you are doing.
2. Increase Omega 3 Intake
Increasing your intake of omega 3 fatty acids is a great way of removing blackheads on
your nose. Why? Because Omega 3 is essential for healthy skin function; and it is also
something that is massively out of balance in Western diets.
You see most modern, Western diets have a huge imbalance of Omega 3 to Omega 6 fatty
acids. Historically this ratio was around 1:1, but these days it isn't uncommon to see ratios
of 1:20 (or more!)
Too much Omega 6 in the diet can lead to clogged pores, inflammation of the skin, bad
acne flair ups, and blackheads.
What you want to be doing to get rid of blackheads on your nose is both increase Omega
3 intake, and decrease Omega 6 intake, at the same time.
To do this you need to:
Eat more leafy green vegetables
Cut out deep fried and fast foods
Cut out highly processed foods like cookies, which have a long shelf-life
Take a fish oil supplement daily
Increase your intake of oily fish
