									                                 After School Educator
                                       (Part time)

Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region is a non-profit organization, operated
for the benefit of the community at large, providing hands-on experiential education,
educational after school programs, staff development, and job training, with a special
emphasis on at-risk youth and groups from diverse backgrounds.

LC-NCR is seeking a photography part time youth educators for the K.I.D.S. After
School Program. Educators will work directly with middle school students, grades 6-8,
M-F from 2:30-6:30.

Educator’s responsibilities include:

*helping with homework
*distributing snacks
*supervising recreational time
*teaching one of the four core program components, which are: art, music, photography
or movement (exercise, dance, yoga, etc). In this case-PHOTOGRAPHY
*assisting with behavior management
*going on fieldtrips
*and assisting the site director as needed

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity, and we encourage those who are
passionate about working with youth to apply. Successful candidates must be
enthusiastic, and reliable. Previous work experience with children is a big plus.
