Line dancing lessons got started. There was very good response to this project initiated by CEO, Terence Ee. Everyone had a good time exercising while dancing. Cordelia Lee, the instructor is very talented and confident in teaching Deaf people to dance. It is on every Thursday at 7.30pm-8.30pm. ********************************************************************************************************** Date : 11 April 2009 Activity : Birthday reception for Chairman organized by KDC Chairman B.C.Sim was presented with a giant Birthday Card made and signed by all Deaf members Deaf Liaison Officer wished Chairman many Happy returns of the Day 1 Date : 12 April 2009 Activity : Baking Competition KDC organized a friendly baking competition. Three teams took part in this fun filled activity Scenes during the baking competition at SSD Date : 11 April 2009 Activity : Swimming games Eleven Deaf members were at BDC Stampark for water games It was fun and good exercise. More of such activity would be organized in future. Deaf members enjoyed themselves during the day at Stampark. Date : 9 - 10 May 2009 Activity : KDC Camp 2009 KDC organized a camp at Siar Beach Resort. More than forty members participated. The programme for the two days one night camp included social recreational activities and motivational talks Sixty two people went on this Camp. All program activities are targeted for the Deaf people’s abilities and are paced accordingly to provide each camper with a memorable experience at the Deaf Camp. We all had a memorable time there. Date : 16 May 2009 Activity : KDC Meeting KDC had a meeting to discuss the upcoming “Social Interactive Day”. Details for the day’s activities were outlined and responsibilities for members to carry out. The meeting in progress Date : 24 May 2009 Activity : Line Dancing performance KDC Line Dancing group was invited as special guests to perform at St Fatih’s Church. It was indeed an eye opener for many to witness Deaf people danced to music they couldn’t hear. Our Deaf members danced to the tunes of “Cowboy Cha Cha”, “Just Because”, “Electric Slide” Date : 27 May 2009 Activity : Arts and crafts Tuition pupils are encouraged to be creative. Arts and crafts are now included during tuition classes at SSD Pupils in deep concentration during the Arts and Crafts sessions.
