Ladies group from Kurt’s church made MOTF, thanks for your huge support at the
blankets for our people, and thank pancake feed.
you Kurt for your continued service
on Friday nights and taking pictures WOC had many new faces for the Friday
for our website. night to help serve. It’s nice to see so
many new faces. Keep coming back.

Greg, from DOT, and Benson Baptist Church,
Thank you for bringing your ministry team leaders to our business meeting so they can
see what we do. We are hoping to see more of their involvement in the future.

Janet Trevino from Hanscom Park Methodist Church,
Thank you for the food donations, coats and sweater donations from your
parish and also thank you for coming to help service and providing oranges and
                 food.

Thanks for everyone who participated at our appreciation dinner.
There was a lot of good input on everyone’s behalf. thank you Jerry
from CIA church for smoking our meet and providing the bake bean.s

Terry and County have committed to taking their own Friday night meal. This
is what it’s all about--people we once served meals to are now doing the
                 meals.
We are in the process of setting up a 501C3 nonprofit status for Taking It To the Streets. As
most of you know, we’ve been using Technion Ministries status. Once we got our own
nonprofit status, we’ll be able to get our own food bank account for Taking it to the Streets.
Right now, Dan & Barb Stuck from CIA church are allowing us to use their food bank number to
purchase our food. This month in January we bought about $200 worth of food. A big thanks
to Dan and Barb for letting us use theirs and for their support.

As most of you know the building will be open about 20 days out of each month, starting Feb.
1. There will be some additional cost for filing 501C3 and being open so often. We will be
going through a lot more coffee and hot chocolate, so generous donations will be welcome.
Please contact Bobby who handles all the financial donations.

Once we have established our own 501C3 we are hoping to send letters to the downtown
businesses (UP, Conagra, 1st National Bank, Woodmen and Mutual of Omaha) to let them
know what we are all about and where we are in hopes of generating some kind of donations
so as to ease the burden for those of us that have been financing this ministry. At any time, if
anyone has any questions about how much money has been taking in and how much has been
put out, you can contact Bobby who has a spreadsheet itemizing all income and expenses.

Because of the 501C3 requirements, in the very near future, officers will need to be elected or
appointed. Anyone who would be willing to be involved at that level, please email Bobby so
we can know who all would be interested in a position. Positions would be president, vice
president, secretary and treasurer. At this point, Rick’s accountant has been willing to apply
for the 501C3 free of charge. We will have to involve an attorney to write the bylaws. If
anyone has an attorney who would hopefully work for free or at a reduced rate to do this for
us, please send info to Rick, Bobby or Buzzy.

God Bless,

Rick
