Senior ASP.NET MVC Product Developer
We’re looking for a Senior.NET Product Developer to join the IT team at JustGiving.com. This is a
fulltime role based in our offices at Paddington, central London. Our IT Infrastructure is based on
Microsoft technology and we work side-by-side with Microsoft Gold partners.
JustGiving is the UK’s leading provider of online fundraising services to charities and their supporters.
We currently have around 8000+ charity clients and over 8 million users of our online services. Since
our launch, we have helped ordinary people raise extraordinary amounts of money, over £526 million,
for the causes that they care about.
We think JustGiving is a very interesting place to work. We have a pretty flat structure, with people
working in multidisciplinary project teams to get things done. Everyone who works here has a voice

About The Role
We are Agile XP team and we are currently upgrading our technical stack from ASP.NET web forms
to ASP.NET MVC 3.
The successful candidate will be collaborating and coordinating with team members. Due to the
market leading nature of our product we require that the candidate be proficient in Microsoft’s web
communication and messaging stacks which includes ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET web forms.
You will be:
- Developing a suite of .NET applications to match the defined technical requirements to fit
within a service-oriented architecture.
- Implementing and unit testing new product lines from the core assets of the JustGiving
- Integrating with social websites, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc...
- Working alongside the front-end developers on the JustGiving Product Team to provide cross
functional team behaviour.
- Coordinating day-to-day activity within the web development team, to ensure that task
deadlines are hit.
- Identifying and communicating potential issues to other team leaders that will prevent
deadlines being hit and provide progress updates for assigned tasks.
We’re looking for senior developers who are truly passionate about software design, performance and
best practices. You’ll also have:
5 years of experience implementing web applications with .NET
Competence with the MVC web framework (e.g. Ruby on Rails, Castle, ASP.NET MVC,
Deep understanding of OO principles, enterprise patterns and classical design patterns
Experience of web accessibility/usability
Experience with ORMs such as nHibernate, Entity Framework, ActiveRecord, Linq to Sql,
Exposure to REST Services
Familiarity with XHTML/CSS
Experience working in SOA environment and familiarity with DDD
Experience in unit testing, integration testing, mocking and dependency injection.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Appreciation for Agile XP or Scrum.
Understanding of TDD and BDD
Problem solver who communicates with everybody effectively to get a requirement
implemented and ready for release.
