DISCUSSION            This workshop will bring together representatives from all services to discuss recreation
                      programming and trends in entertainment and special events that are of primary interest
                      to 18-25 year old single Soldiers. Critical issues such as inclusive recreation
                      programming for wounded warriors and identifying recreation as prevention for serious
                      injuries will be key points of the agenda.

                      This workshop is being held in conjunction with Association for the Promotion of
                      Campus Activities (APCA). The Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities is a
                      national campus activities organization that was founded in 1994 and services the needs
                      of Campus Activities Programming Departments throughout the United States. APCA
                      offers various online services, including artist tour schedules, a campus activities
                      employment search engine, professional training and an exclusive member’s area
                      providing various membership services.

WHO SHOULD            APCA is a resource for Special Events/ Entertainment
ATTEND APCA           Coordinators, General Recreation Specialist,
                      Business Program Managers, Family Program Managers,
                      and Child & Youth Program Specialist. Each garrison
                      is encouraged to send their Festival Program
                      Coordinator. Individual representatives from any of
                      The other MWR program areas mentioned are encouraged
                       to attend.

ATTIRE                Business casual for conference. Dinner attire for APCA awards banquet March 14.

ORDERS                Garrisons who will be participating in the 2008 Festival will be centrally funded for one
                      individual to attend the training. All others will need to be funded by the Garrisons.

LODGING               Army /Navy/Marine Corps/Coast Guard/Air Force reservations:
                      Contact the Sheraton Atlanta directly at (404) 659-6500 and ask for the
                      Government/APCA Convention rate before February 6, 2008. To view hotel amenities

TRANSPORTATION        The closest airport is Atlanta International (ATL). Call the LINK shuttle at (404) 524-
                      3400 to make your reservations for round trip airport/hotel shuttle transportation.

                      All events are held within the hotel. Rental cars are not necessary and will not be
                      authorized for centrally funded attendees.

                      For those that will be driving, the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel has $12.00/daily valet parking.
                      A Special $5.00 per day self parking will be available for APCA attendees.

REGISTRATION          Army Festival of the Arts and Selected BOSS attendees will be centrally funded.
                      Registration fee is a military discount of $79.00 per person. APCA Memberships fees for
                      FY 08 have been pre- paid for all Garrisons. Festival attendees registration forms should
                      be completed and sent via e-mail to Joe.leavell@us.army.mil. BOSS attendees
                      registration forms should be sent to Marlon.martin@us.army.mil. All others complete
                      online registration form. ALL Participants must make their own hotel and
                      transportation arrangements.
