1    Position Summary

Incumbent will provide management and oversight for the day to day operations of
Magic City International Dragway (MCID) including but not limited to Operations,
Maintenance, Communications, Ticketing, Personnel, Public and Community Relations,
etc. Individual will be responsible for financial performance/growth of the track,
coordinating the schedule of events with Board of Directors (MCID) and NDSF
managers’ staff.
2   Duties

    The person filling this position will assume overall responsibility for the
    general day to day operation of the drag strip. Major attributes of the
    incumbent will be:

        Management of the entire facility operations for the season.
        Management of all personnel employed, or under contract with MCID.
        Provide management and oversights of the facilities set up and tear down for
         races and other events as directed by the MCID board (examples would be
         for the State Fair and the end of the season).
        The manager will repair track/facility equipment as needed and advise the
         MCID board on equipment repairs required beyond his capabilities.
        Manager will deal with racers, spectators and workers directly and resolve
         all concerns, disputes and issues.
        The manager will provide management, but not technical oversight of the
         vehicle TECH process or disputes, unless the incumbent is an IHRA
         certified tech.
        The manager will make sure the proper payouts are made to the class
         winners and the checks are mailed within 5 calendar days of the race
         weekend.
        The manager will be responsible for the accounting and deposit of all monies
         and provide financial accounting to the bookkeeper. (The on-site accounting
         of the daily funds will normally be in conjunction with a second person
         appointed by the MCID board.)
        The manager will insure the facility meets the standards of the IHRA and
         ND State fair prior to the start of any event by having the proper fire/rescue
         on-site, and a safe environment for the racers, spectators, and workers.
        The manager will track all Points after each race and insure they are posted
         on the MCID web site, and reported to the Minot Daily News.
        The manager will prepare statements (narrative) of race results and story
         outlines of up coming events for the Minot Daily News and other media
         outlets.
        Manager will assist in securing sponsorships for the drag strip.
        The manager will report directly to the MCID board on all track operation
         activities and meet monthly with a report of activities and
         problems/suggestions.
               The manager will immediately report both in writing and by phone to the
                board any actions by employees, racers or spectators which might affect the
                liability, credibility or public standing of the MCID or Flat Track Inc.
               Other related duties as assigned by competent authority (MCID board).

                                 Pass background check
                                 Current ND Drivers License
                                 Be able to be bonded.
        2.2           Desirable
                                 Background in drag racing
                                 Certified IHRA Tech.
                                 Degree in Business Management or related field
