What makes staying in a bed and breakfast so great? Why would you want to choose to stay in a
B & B over a traditional hotel? There are many advantages to staying in a bed and breakfast
as opposed to a traditional hotel. Here are some of the reasons you should consider staying in a B
& B.
First, you get breakfast every morning. When we stayed in Maine we actually got a gourmet
breakfast every other morning, then on the other mornings they had a nice spread of bagels, toast,
cereal (hot and cold), muffins, fruits, and other breakfast items. The breakfast was amazing and
was definitely worth waking up for.
The second benefit is that you get a home feel to your vacation. The bed and breakfast we stayed
in while vacationing in Florida was right on the beach and the couple that ran it made sure we had
everything we could ever want. They changed our sheets every day, made our beds, gave us tips
on great places to eat, and actually sat out on the patio with us for some great conversations.
The last benefit is that you will have a much more enjoyable stay. Usually B & Bs only take
about 6-20 people at a time so you don't have to worry about there being a lot of strangers around.
They also rent out on a weekly basis so you will get to know the other people that are staying as
you enjoy breakfast together and some of the other amenities that are offered.
The bottom line is that bed and breakfast vacationing is great. You get many more comforts of
being at home and the food is excellent. You will feel more comfortable and it will be easier for you
to relax and enjoy your vacation. After all we go on vacation to relax so why not do it in the comfort
of a place that feels like home.
