					Configuring your computer for DHCP
Windows 95/98/ME:

· Right-click on the "Network Neighborhood" icon on your desktop, then click "Properties"

· Highlight the "TCP/IP" item in the list. There may be more than one, so select the one that
points to your network card (ethernet adapter).
· Click the "Properties" button.
· On the "IP Address" tab, select "Obtain an IP address automatically".

· On the "WINS Configuration" tab, select "Use DHCP for WINS Resolution".
· On the "Gateway" tab, there should not be any gateways installed. If there are, highlight
and click the "Remove" button for each one.

· On the "DNS Configuration" tab, select "Disable DNS".
· Click the "OK" button on both the "TCP/IP Properties" window and the "Network"
window. Your computer may ask you to restart - it will need to restart in order for these
changes to take effect.
