I am a tenant of Apartment 203 at 610 Leavenworth Street. Returning home around
11:00 p.m. on the night of April 18, I found that the upper lock of our door was jammed in the
locked position. After trying unsuccessfully to contact our building manger, George Hawk, I had
the door opened by a locksmith from Best Bay Locksmith at a cost of $149. After inspecting the
door, Mr. Hawk’s supervisor, Ted Doland instructed me to request in writing a rent deduction in
that amount. You will find attached a copy of my receipt from Best Bay Locksmiths. Please
respond to the address or telephone number above to confirm that I may deduct $149 from a
future rent payment. Thank you.
