licenses for the number of devices we use NHM with.... :)
Sorry, no blackmail or today.

true.. and I didn't tell you guys this,
But you can use a backup / restore / configuration / logging software called
Nokia Horizon Manager with it ... you're suposed to license it , but it will
still run (v1.1) if you don't have a key in it....
The software's like centralised managed for the hardware, wherease CP fw
mgmt is for the rulesets...

NOKIA is the most stable platform I have used.
We have deployed dozens of these appliances, from small office to enterprise
environments.
These appliances are amazingly reliable.
They offer many features that make configuration a breeze.

Also, the backup and restore feature is the best I've seen

NOKIA is king. We run nothing but Nokia here. The hardware is robust, and
we use VRRP between two units for redundancy. Can be expensive though ...

Hello everyone,
We're about to migrate to Checkpoint NG soon, and I've been tasked to gather
data to determine which version of OS we will run our software on. We have
already purchased 6 Dell systems (I'm unsure of specs), so the choices are
Windows NT, 2000, or a Linux flavor. I'm looking for recommendations, and
perhaps links to performance ratings to use as a comparison for each. Also,
I'd love to hear the horror stories, so I'm not as blind sided as I was with
our McAfee WebShield from months past!
Thanks for your help guys.
