Securing Aircraft Inventory and Repair Procedures
xyzmo’s biometric signature solution for the Israeli Air Force aircraft maintenance units
Overview
The customer is a military enterprise specializing in the repair, restructuring and upgrading of aircraft components. Operating at the cutting edge of engineering technology, the enterprise has to maintain top-level precision and rigorous security procedures along the entire production line. Processing and handling of components follow a predefined series of steps - from acceptance and registration of a project to completion, storage and delivery. All individuals involved in the above procedures are required to identify themselves and prove that they are authorized to perform specific functions. Before a component can proceed to the next stage of production, relevant personnel have to record their actions and sign off on finished tasks. These complex procedures generate huge files and vast amounts of paperwork. In addition to being vulnerable to loss, routine filing errors and invasions of security, they place an ever-increasing load on manpower resources and storage facilities.

The Challenge
With fraud an ever increasing threat in inventory management, the military customer in question recognized the need for a reliable and efficient system for inventory management that would minimize risks, maximize activities, while eliminating the inefficiencies of pen and paper on mission critical documents.
xyzmo's Solution
xyzmo’s partner WonderNet provided its customer with a solution based on the SIGNificant biometric signature authentication technology. The system is designed to seamlessly integrate into the organization’s existing processes and document formats. It
transforms the entire integrated process manufacture, of component upgrading and a
inventory management into
digitized system that is simple to operate, fully secure and paper-free. Identification and authentication of every participant is achieved via his handwritten signature on an electronic tablet. For further security, every transaction is accompanied by a permanently embedded audit trail. It records details such as when and where an item was handled and approved, and by whom, as well as validating all signatories and handlers. Electronic archiving enables faster, fully secured operations in addition to significantly reducing manpower needs and costs. The system ensures that signed and sealed documents cannot be tampered with or compromised in any way.

completion Keeps track of processing stages and inventory location Significantly reduces processing time Utilizes existing work procedures Paper-free processing Electronic archiving Requires no special training
Technology
Based on a highly sophisticated algorithm, the SIGNificant suite offers a reliable and secure solution for signing documents and authenticating the identity via a handwritten signature. The technology dynamically learns the variations of each signature and by analyzing biometric parameters such as pressure, acceleration, speed, and rhythm, it creates a unique personal profile, which is updated and fine-tuned with the natural fluctuations that occur in each person’s signature.
