United Way Announces New Resource Development Director

Tammy Gore has joined the staff of the United Way of North Rock County as the new
Resource Development Director. Gore’s new duties include leading fund development
for the local United Way and overseeing donor relation efforts.
Fundraising and sales experience are predominant in Gore’s career history. She helped to
launch the $2.5 million capital campaign for the restoration of the Janesville Performing
Arts Center, and most recently was the sales representative at American Awards and
Promotions in Milton. Gore also worked for Forward Janesville, Inc. as the Vice
President of Economic & Community Development for five years.
Gail Graham, local United Way president, says, “Tammy is a great addition to our staff.
Experience in the non-profit sector and working with volunteers are just a few of her
strengths. Her leadership and relationship building skills will be a valuable asset to the
       organization.”
Gore previously volunteered on two committees with United Way of North Rock County
       – serving on the Events Committee and Family Services Investment Committee
reviewing child care, domestic violence, transitional living and other programs. “It is
great to have someone who already understands United Way’s reach in the community,”
       adds Graham.
“I am excited to be joining this dynamic organization that makes such an enormous
impact in our local communities,” states Gore. “I look forward to working with the many
dedicated donors and volunteers whose contributions make it possible for the United Way
to address the needs, challenges and opportunities that create a stronger community.”
