NARRATIVE


      Teaching:

I teach didactic and clinical courses for undergraduate and ABSN students. I coordinate
the PASS project for students seeking tutoring assistance each semester. I act as an
EBP consultant in the Practice of Leadership course. I assist and participate in low and
high fidelity simulation events that enhance and facilitate student learning. I continually
work above the workload policy for the Lawton/ Duncan campus.

    Research:
I am sited as a co-author of two research articles written with Dr. K. Edwards et al. I
presented GNEC modules for the Reynolds Center Champions on two occasions and
help create a pod-cast for the center. I am participating in a simulation research project
on the Lawton campus using ATI data to improve NCLEX pass rates. I have experience
as a site coordinator/research nurse in a pediatric asthma research study.

     Service:
In the past six years I have been a board member with Sigma Theta Tau, The
Association of Black Nursing Faculty and The Oklahoma Association of Clinical Nurse
Specialist. I am an active member of the OUHSC Faculty Senate-Discrimination and
Harassment Committee. I participated on the OU- CON Bylaw Committee and Faculty
Search Committee.
