This body deals with financial, developmental and sustainability monitoring, together with evaluation and auditing, training and capacity building. Background of the Training and Research Centre:
CFPLa is a joint initiative of FOS (Fund of Cooperation for Development, a Belgian NGO) and its Independent Trade Union Partners of Southern of Angola. The primary concept of the CFPLa was already formulated in their common Quinquennial Plan 2003-2007 prepared in 2002. This plan clearly expressed the need for a proper Training Centre to capacitate Trade Union members and their leaders through specialised training - particularly with regard to Labour

The CFPLa Mission
The CFPLa not only intends to contribute to the training of trainers (TOT) for the Trade Union movements in Southern Angola; but also in terms of relevant Labour Research studies and reports, given the contexts and the challenges that the new millennium imposes.

The CFPLa Vision
CFPLa puts emphasises on positive changes in attitude among the trade union leadership, and on raising the awareness of the working masses through the adoption of effective learning tools and mechanisms, allowing for more conscious, responsible and adequate guiding principles in their righteous struggle for better life conditions as active members of society and partners of government in the development of the Angolan society.
