                                     JOB DESCRIPTION



JOB TITLE:  Director of Ushaw Educational Outreach JOB HOLDER:
REPORTS TO: President                              LOCATION: Ushaw College


MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Director will manage a range of primarily online courses for lay and ordained members of
the Catholic church and the wider Christian community.


DETAILED DUTIES:

   1. To direct the strategic vision for continued expansion of Ushaw’s outreach work.
   2. To liaise with dioceses, professional associations and other client groups about
      formation needs.
   3. To plan the design, promotion and delivery of the outreach courses.
   4. To be a member of Ushaw’s senior management team.
   5. To oversee and support the work of the course administrator.
   6. To undertake administrative duties and committee work in support of teaching and
      learning.
   7. To work with colleagues to develop an integrated approach to teaching and curriculum
      development.
   8. To support the process of formation for ordained and lay ministry
   9. To undertake any other suitable duties at the request of the President.
