Synchronization
Microsoft has two different programs for
synchronization between Pda, mobiles and
PC.
Windows XP: Active Sync
Windows Vista & 7: Windows Mobile Device
Center
Both free downloads and there is a link to the
download web at the SBI CD.
Active Sync
Connect Pda, mobile with a cable to the PC
USB and the Active Sync program starts.
At the setup wizard there are two choices,
next (swe: Nästa) or Cancel (swe: Avbryt).
Click Next means that the Pda/mobile can be
setup towards the PC as a personal device.
Outlook contacts, tasks and a number of items
can be synchronized between the Pda/mobile
and PC.
Caution with synchronizing e-mail which can
fill the Pda memory if no restrictions to the
number of e-mails synchronized is used.
At handling SBI devices Do Not use a
personal setup. Click at Cancel which enables,
copy and move files, add and remove
programs to the Pda/mobile.

Synchronization
Click at Cancel and the Microsoft ActiveSync
program is connected.
At this connecting situation it is possible to
download SBI Balance programs into the
Pda/mobile.
By clicking at the Explore button it is possible
to check out the interior of the Pda/mobile.
Copy XML files, valve data and language data
from PC and paste it into the Pda/mobile.
The SBI Balance program can be located at
the internal memory or at a Storage Card, this
choice is given when downloading the Balance
program into the Pda/mobile.
Easiest way to upgrade the SBI Balance
program is by replacing the SD card at the
Pda/mobile with a upgraded SD card with for
instance new valve data or by download from
the internet.
SD upgrades or download product ID and
passkey can be ordered from SBI.
Valves, language upgrade are free, upgrade
between different Flex programs are done
according to our price list.
2
Synchronization
The Synchronization program for Vista and
W7 have a somewhat different design but the
functions are basically the same.
At Windows Vista and 7 the user is upgraded
to administrator. Accordingly, when for
instance the Windows Mobile Device Center
program is started the User Account Control
asks; “Do you want to allow the following
program to make changes to this computer”.
Click Yes to this and if the Account has a
password this has to be entered before
clicking Yes.
At the Windows Mobile Device Center
program it is of vital importance to set up the
connection. The Files item box has to be
tagged. Otherwise there will be a connection
but no files can be synchronized, i.e. it will not
be possible to for instance download the SBI
Balance program. If outlook items, like
calendar, contacts and tasks are to be
synchronized from this particular Pda/mobile
these item boxes also has to be tagged.
