Yunnan is a great and beautiful place to travel and the best time to visit there is during Spring season. It
is one of the top tourist spot in China, since it has many natural scenes from Snow Mountain to world
heritage town and of course there are many delicious mouthwatering local delicacies for you to try out.
Below are some handy tips for you, if you are planning a visit to Yunnan in near future.
1: The best time to travel is during March-April since the weather is just nice around 10-15 degree
Celsius, many flowers start to blossom, the Snow mountain is reopen for operation after the shut down
during winter season, enjoy the biggest inland natural lake cruise and many more nice views to enjoy,
also more outdoor activities you can enjoy.
2: Remember to bring along rain gear and winter clothing even though you are travel in March-April, as
it will have occasional rainfall but it is less. As the winter clothing is needed during night time as the
weather drop significantly during night time.
3: The sunscreen is MUST have else you will definitely suffer from sun burnt. It is because Yunnan is
located at high altitude, not much cloud during the day and the sun light is shin directly down on you
while most of the sightseeing and activities are outdoor.
4: Some people will have high altitude sickness, if you are not sure will you have it, a quick tip or kind
reminder to you is to bring along some chocolate, because chocolate can relieve altitude sickness. The
possible tourist spot that many people will felt this is at Yu Long Snow Mountain which more than 3000
meter high and the peak is cover with snow during Winter and Spring season. The rest of the places in
Yunnan is almost close to 2000 meter above sea level, so try not to make fast, heavy movement when
you are there, try to be more gentle, walk in leisure while enjoying the beautify scenery.
5: Yunnan is also subjected to low humidity, very dry throughout the day and night. It is advisable to
drink more water during the day and when you sleep at night in the hotel, be sure to place some water
in a big cup of water beside your bed to keep your skin and throat moisture.
6: Eat as much as you can as the food there is really delicious and unique, don’t worry the weather and
environment there will help you to burn off couple more calories than usual.
